We had Leroy’s spicy chicken and Hawaiian burritos, the food quantity was great but taste was okay. On sides we have taken chips but chips is giving very bad oil smells as if the oil was re-used multiple times to fry the chips.

I usually don’t like writing a review but this time I think I should. I have been coming here for years and I usually get a good food from here and a lot of time cookies. The food most of the time is great. I love it since i like something easy and healthy. Not so much of fried food I admit I like the chips they used before now that they deep fried freshly in the store.
I saw an old guy complaint that the store was trying to charge him small burrito price when he ordered small burrito with taco meat and cheese. He was furious that they don’t charge him $3 like he was charged before and saying to a person that it costs nothing more than a $1.50 to make this burritos.
honestly, I don’t understand people like these. These small businesses have more costs than just the food cost. Rents, utilities, labors, etc. I understand in this economy we all are trying to be cheap. If you want cheap food and budget control then stay home and make your own food.
People are mad when the store is trying to do food portions control. ♀️

The entire experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend this location, particularly for anyone looking for a less salty alternative to other quick-service Mexican spots.

The food was superb, and I am a huge fan of the option to toast the bowl. I ordered a regular bowl with cheese and a side of chips. After toasting, the contents became warm and gooey, transforming the dish into a delightful, nacho-like experience.
Exceptional Service:
A special shout-out must go to Dylan, the server. When I placed my order, he was the only employee working behind the counter (he mentioned his colleague was on break). My point is, it was amazing to watch him handle everything—cooking, serving, and cashiering—all with a genuine smile. This interaction truly elevated my day and was impressive to watch balance it all while still looking like he enjoys his job. It felt less like a transaction and more like a casual conversation with a friendly, uplifting vibe. His outstanding service was a wonderful bonus to the delicious food. And any employer should be proud to have a hard working employee like Dylan.
Atmosphere and Ambiance:
Lastly, the atmosphere was fantastic. The space offers plenty of room, with different TVs playing various content. A unique feature is the connected cookie bakery shop, which created a pleasantly unusual aroma—a delicious blend of savory Mexican food and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Its so pleasent that I consider just stopping by, enjoy the pleasant environment, and get some work done.

The Newport Team is . Efficient, fast, friendly and more! This is our go-to location. I ask for a little extra tomatoes and there’s never a problem. At the other taco place across the street, OMG, I’m afraid to ask for extra anything. IYKYK. Love Hot Head’s Rewards!

Hot heads is my absolute favorite place to eat, usually I go to the Milford OH location but recently moved closer to Newport so after not eating all day I stopped in to grab two bowls, one for now and one for tomorrow. I originally asked for spicy steak and when the girl put the meat in my bowl I didn’t think it looked like steak but I have a hard time speaking up so I just went with it, once we got to the point of checking out I was shocked to see me being charged for chicken but again I just went with it because while I’ve never tried their chicken I know I generally like it. Once I got home and bit into it I realized it was not chicken? Maybe pork I’m not sure as I don’t eat it but it’s definitely not steak nor chicken. Super disappointing as I was really looking forward to eating and now I have two bowls going to complete waste. I know it was partially my fault as I didn’t speak up when I had the opportunity before paying I’m just super confused on how I asked for steak, got charged for chicken, and it’s not either.

I’ve been coming to this hot heads for years now & loved it up until they got a new owner a Chinese lady & her children. Everytime she makes the burritos you get rice & chicken on one side sauce & cheese on another it’s not mixed well at all I’m sorry but they don’t know what their doing & when you ask for sauce on the side now she says she can only give you half a cup which is nothing for the huge burritos. I’m not sure if she can’t understand English well but alot of the times she can’t hear the order clearly & sometimes it gets messed up to the point I’ve just not gotten things because of it. This lady also held me & my boyfriend up for 20 minutes asking us about a coupon we had & where we got it from it was so embarrassing. I would recommend going to a different location we will not be returning here which sucks because it’s right by our house.

Paid for large bags of chips and receive snack size chips that sell in stores for 25 cents but was charged over $2 for each bag! Rice bowl came without cheese and I kid you not six pieces of chicken! Normally this will feed myself and my two year old but I couldn’t eat it. He ate some but it was nasty without cheese and chicken!
