We were excited to try something new — and it did not disappoint! Even as food lovers, this was our first time having pho and it really hit the spot.
We ordered the Large Brisket & Meatball Pho combo (came with a Fried Roll, Combo Fried Rice (asked for it to be cooked extra crispy with bean sprouts), and the BBQ Chicken Bánh Mì.
The pho broth was comforting and flavorful when eaten properly. While the brisket was great, the meatball wasn’t our favorite — it tasted a bit processed and was slightly tough. The fried roll was also smaller than expected for the price, which was a little disappointing.
The fried rice was tasty, though we personally felt it could’ve used a bit more depth in seasoning.
The BBQ Chicken Bánh Mì was amazing — after asking for extra mayo (house sauce). That really brought it together!
Overall, we enjoyed the experience and are glad we tried it. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Driving to Portland and wanted something fresh. Found it at Hot Ginger Pho & Bar in Olympia.
Excellent broth, very fresh vegetables, and the fried tofu with the specials was simple and really well done. Clean flavors. Nothing heavy. Just good food made with care.
I added extra Sriracha and immediately felt it clear my sinuses — they noticed and brought me a stack of napkins without me even asking. Small thing, but thoughtful.
I’d definitely come back.

I love the flavor of their pho soup but every time I order here I ask for no lime and they continually add it. I am highly allergic and they just don’t even seem to care. And if you order online it’s a $5 extra charge per item which makes no sense. This place needs to really get it together.

I ordered a Large Pho with steak tendon flank and tripe. I order my steak raw on the side because it is a sure way to tell if the restaurant trusts its product. The steak was fresh, but it was a shredded clumped up ball, low quality cut, with now intramuscular fat. The bowl had brisket in it and no flank. The broth tasted like chicken top ramen. The waitress asked if everything is good, I asked if there was MSG in the broth. She came back after asking the kitchen and told me “yes it’s homemade broth made with MSG”. The tendon in the soup were teeny tiny pieces, not like the big meaty slabs I’m used to. The nail in the coffin for me was when another customer was paying and chatting with the staff, they were mentioning it’s slow, and the staff saif to the customer she hopes it stays that way. Well I can definitely help keep it from being busy, as they won’t be getting my business ever again. I can make better noodle soup for 20 cents.

This is one of my favorite places in town for PHO or a Bahn Mi to be honest it also has better boba tea selections than the other two places that serve them in the same strip mall. The food is always spectacular and so is the service. The vibes are good in the restaurant as well. Don’t mind the half eaten plate of Yakisoba (yes HALF eaten) portions are huge!

Fried roll was tasty, and then I was brought what has to be the largest bowl of pho I have ever had. But not only was it a good portion, more importantly, it was flavorful! Honestly probably one of the best broths I have had. I think this will be my go to spot for pho.

10/10 food. Server was amazing too, very enthusiastic and attentive. Didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman working the closing shift on 02/20/2026. My wife loved the chicken pho, and I tried some of it too and it was outstanding. Love the charbroiled chicken and rice. Huge serving sizings. Having it for seconds as I write this review. Will be back again when passing through.

We tried Hot Ginger Pho for the first time tonight and we were so glad we did! The restaurant is a lot bigger than I was expecting, (as well as the menu) and it’s so cute and pleasant inside. We tried their spring rolls, pork fried rice and steak and brisket pho – all of it was SO delicious! The staff and their service was amazing, so we will definitely be back here again.
