All their food taste authentic for me! The restaurant is tidy and the vibe is great. Excellent service! This shall be a go-to Chinese restaurant in the area! The owner is very attentive as I told him that the broccoli tonight was a little bit bitter and then he made chef to cook a new plate of broccoli for me immediately and that tasted really good. Have already been a regular for this restaurant a lot and will continue!

Drove by and noticed theres a new restaurant in this odd corner plaza. Came here for dinner. If you’re craving for dumplings and beef noodle soup, this is a good spot without driving. The dumplings are juicy enough but could be hotter. They give good amount of beef and noodles.

Hot Dumpling replaced the former Good Time Cafe in Lake Forest. It’s located in a small center at the corner of Bake Parkway and Trabuco Road, so parking can be hard to come by during peak hours. There is also an El Pollo Loco and an AYCE sushi restaurant located in this same plaza.
We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice at the time of this review. I was not too impressed with the presentation of the Juicy Pork Dumpling and Wuhan Siu Mai, but the taste more than made up for the appearance. The pan-fried pork & chive dumplings were fabulous and I also tried their pan-fried pork buns on my follow-up visit, so I can say that their pan-fried dishes are def worth trying. The green onion pancakes, shrimp & pork wonton in chili oil, pan-fried pork dumplings and chongqing spicy chicken were also solid dishes. The biggest surprise for us was their Mapo Tofu dish which ranks up there with the best we’ve ever tasted. The only miss was the Spicy Beef Tendon appetizer. Service is friendly and attentive too, so I recommend a visit if you enjoy Chinese cuisine!

Everything looked pretty good there. Tho if you are looking for typical Chinese food this isn’t the place. I am sure their dumplings are where it’s at.

The worst Chinese food you ever had in your entire life overpriced, bad quality food for the worst food. I paid $40 for the two doubling dumplings. You can’t even swallow the dumplings. It has no flavor no taste just spicy hot flavor that’s it. I would never put my foot in this restaurant badfood.

We saw this new place opened up and decided to try it. And we loved it! Food came pretty fast, service was great and attentive , dumplings were delicious and we ordered green beans oh!! Those were dynamite! We also had orange chicken and chicken and pork dumplings. All was super juicy and so so good! Thank you!!
