Saw this place on TikTok. Owners seemed so charming and food looked incredible. I have been to Chicago several times. They do a Chicago dog justice. Soft poppyseed bun, vibrant relish, peppers and veg so fresh, and the dog had a great snap. The lady who owns the place is so lovely. Worth the drive from Tampa. Pet friendly seating outside.

Hands down the best small-business hot dog shop in Dunedin. The Greek Hound Dog is fantastic, and the owner is truly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend as a go to spot when you’re in Dunedin! Very unique menu options for hot dogs!

I’ve lived in Dunedin for roughly 3 years now and have been looking for a good place that sells hot dogs that have more than just the usual condiments and let me say I have found the place!! I got the Dixie dog and the chihuahua dog they were both delicious I never thought a dog with salsa and guacamole would be that good but boy it knocked my socks off, they have a large variety and amazing service! Will be coming back

Bun was wet and soggy. The hot dog seemed microwaved and did not taste good. There was too much mustard on the hotdog, even when I specifically asked for no mustard. The hotdog was too small/thin for the price. Most importantly, I want to emphasize how there was so much mustard on the hotdog, even when I specifically asked for no mustard. Like let’s talk about the smell, let’s talk about the smell of the place! It’s so unhygienic I do not know what’s going on in that kitchen. It’s very messy.

A hidden gem of a spot with delicious food and the kindest owner! Four of us stopped in on a whim not realizing it was closing time and the gentleman was very kind to us, taking the time to prepare our food (everything made to order, hot dogs cooked right before serving) and let us ask him all about the awards on the wall. He was excited to get home but still chatted and told us stories about the shop. Everyone’s food was delicious and generously portioned, and I’m already planning our next trip over there (firmly during store hours)!

What a great hotdog experience that reminds me of Chicago days. The owners were so busy taking orders, prepping, and serving with a friendly attitude that I failed to get their names. The menu is actually bigger than the tiny powerful place, with one small table and on chair indoors, and several outdoor tables, making the venue accessible.
I couldn’t decide which dog I wanted on this long list but finally chose the Reuben–what a great choice. The dog was pure quality with sauerkraut, cheese and a special sauce served on a poppyseed bun. Yum and topped with a canned diet Pepsi® product.
Great quick service. I loved when the owner opened the window to the street to serve the dogs to the customers. The owners take pride in their shop. The walls are lined with all kinds of awards, and the proof is in the dog.
Accessible free street parking, which is hard to find on evenings, weekends, and during events.

Great place to get different kinds of hot dogs. Chicago, Brooklyn, Southern, and Greek. The owner is very friendly and kind. It’s at a great location in Dunedin. Chili dogs are the ones I get most. You can purchase water or sodas. You can also get ice cream. My recommendation is that if you love hot dogs, check it out!

Stopped here on my way home from work one day and the hotdog was very good. The dog and bread was top-of-the-line and I will recommend this place for anyone who just wants a hot dog.

Incredible restaurant run by two amazing people! We have been coming to this place for a long time now, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have not tried the Dunedin Dog or Dixie Dog, you haven’t lived!! Nick and Susan are incredible people that make the atmosphere the best in the business. Please check them out next time you’re in Downtown!!
