I’ve eaten here twice now, once to go and again today in person, and everything tasted really good both times. The food doesn’t look like a whole lot, but it’s very calorically dense and super filling. Last time I had the Nutella milkshake and it was rich and delicious. Today I tried their lunch special burger which was a regular cheeseburger, and after adding toppings it came out to $18 just for the burger. They have kiosks where you can place your order or you can scan a QR code to pull up the menu on your phone and order from there. The server just brings the food to your table, which is an interesting setup. They also have self serve popcorn when you come in, which is a fun touch. Their menu is vast and even includes vegan options. Next time I think I’ll go with a signature burger since it’s the same price and feels like a better value. My husband was completely stuffed after his meal too. Great flavors, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

4/19/25 – Wife recently became vegan so we decided to come try this place since they have vegan burgers. We stop by on our way back from Spam Museum, go visit them if you like Spam.
It was our first time here at Hot Chip Burger Bar. We go in and we see Kiosk, which was unexpected. There is a staff at the entrance and said we order and just seat ourselves. Kiosk is easy to use, if you don’t know how to use it, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Looking thru the menu, they kept asking if we needed help.
I order the Kevin bacon cheese burger with fries and a side of special sauce and fountain drink, while wife order the Smells Like Updog with fries.
We sat ourselves and waited for food to arrive which came fairly quick. Price is kind of expensive, totaling almost 50 dollars with tip.
Food was good, nothing really stands out about the burger, just a regular bacon cheese burger. Special sauce was okay. Fries were seasoned which tasted good. Wife said her burger was good.
This place has got to be the best place I’ve been to as far as service. During our time there staff came to us I don’t know how many times asking if we needed anything and how the food is, etc. Super friendly staff from the moment we walked in to when we left and they said thanks for coming.
Overall good food, price is a bit high. They do have taco place next door which we’ll come back to try next time

Visited Hot Chip Burger while visiting family in Rochester and it was Amazing! All the food was delicious but wanted to especially call out the cheese curds as the best we’ve ever had and the burgers were right up there as well! We ordered the spectrum from plain to vegan and they handled all our dietary restrictions and allergies with ease and confidence. I would highly recommend going here.

Was here 2 Thursdays ago, around 4 pm. After a long day at the Mayo for my wife, we decided to eat here, based on the great reviews. Getting out of the car, was greeted by blaring music and almost left but for my wife who had to fast all day and needed to eat. Upon entering, was greeted by a very enthusiastic Greeter, who explained the ordering process. Stepped up to the kiosk and proceeed to order, based on a persusal of the websites menu earlier in the day. I ordered a double, wife, a single, order of fries to split, 2 waters. EVEWRYTING ELSE WAS ALA CARTE AND EXTRA, VERY DISSAPOINTING. Bill came to over $30 which was a LOT, based on what we ordered. Went to table and greeter brouight a bowl of FREE popcorn, which was chewy, and way over salted. I ate 2 bites and waited for this burger. ‘When it came, it was on a nice bun and fries looked golden and hot. Tasted one and WAY oversalted. Guess they want to sell more beer! Took lid off and was greeted by the 2 most pathetic burger patties I have ever seen in my life! Dry, overcooked and 2 patties didn’t equal ONE at most other places. I asked for more pickles and was told that would be extra too, so delcined. I almost got up and left at that point but for my wife and the fact she needed to eat, after fasting all day. Loaded the burger with NON branded ketchup and mustard and ate it anyway, without saying a word. Left and have to say, ANY other burger place would have been a better choice including Mickey D’s or da King, and less money as well.
I have to come back and stay in the Rochester area for an extended period of time in March, near this place and won’t be coming back. Oh, Sorelina’s which is across the street, is awesome. Ate there the eveing before. I will be going back there.
Conclusion: This place was very disappointing and not worth the time and expense, I will NOT be returning.

Love it! Just come in, sit and order from your phone. The burgers are delicious and the cheese curds are amazing, especially with this only jelly sauce they had. I forgot the name, but it’s amazing.

Visited here today! I really enjoyed the pretty atmosphere and decorations, plus the music. My boyfriend and I decided to sit outside, which they have an amazing outdoor seating area with lots of flowers and decorated tables. We are kind of on the introverted side so we both enjoyed just being able to type and pay for our own orders on the little tablets they have. I get that’s not everyone’s favorite, but it really makes it easy and convenient in my opinion. I have looked at reviews of people leaving 1 star and complaining about it but just go somewhere else then. We had great experience with staff here so ♀️ We got our drinks and some popcorn and we probably waited for our food for 15 minutes. The food was really great! I definitely will be coming back and I recommend others come and check it out! Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had.

I’m gluten free and plant based. So fun to have multiple burgers to choose from. I did have the gluten free bun (contains eggs) but it was worth it. My meal was delicious. Staff was friendly and fun. We enjoyed sitting on outside on the cute patio. We will be back next time we are on town.

I will mention the standard fries, seasoned or not, are separate from the burgers (approx. $4); fountain soda also separate at ≈ $3. So be ready to spend $20+ per person on entree’s alone.
