I took my mom out to eat for her birthday she wanted to try Hot Bowl Hibachi, so this was our first visit to this location. Since we’re both a fan of hibachi eateries we were hoping not to be disappointed, but we didn’t know what to expect.
It’s a small interesting spot. You receive very little verbal instruction on the process of getting your food. At least that was our experience. They had posted signs to read. Luckily there were other patrons that were willing to provide advice.
Once you are seated, your drink order is taken. You are provided with a tray which includes two silver number tags; one number tag remains on your table, the other tag goes with you on the tray to the food bar, a plate for your noodles rice and vegetables. A small bowl for your protein, and a smaller bowl for your sauce. Any food on the tray will be charged extra except for eggs which can be placed on the tray.
Once you have gathered your food, place the tray on the counter and return to your seat. Your food is prepared on the hibachi grill and brought to you in a large bowl when ready.
I would have enjoyed a bigger selection of protein (at my visit they only offered beef & chicken) no seafood or sausage. I would have also liked dry seasonings.
It was me and my mom a party of two, the gratuity was already added to my bill.
Overall it was a good experience and I would return. So if you’re in the area and you’ve not tried it, stop in to see how you like it.
