Husb said his cheap steak was better than the $77 steak he had at the Capital Grill in King of Prussia. For affordable American cuisine you can’t go wrong here.
While I have tried many times I am just not a fan of their steaks. Especially for the price is there. There are many better places to order steak. We ended up here because my wife likes it and we compromise often to suit each other. So, I ordered the fried white fish with onion rings and also got the salad bar. The Whitefish and onion rings came out hot. Both were a little bit on the greasy side for my tastes, and the onion rings were pretty much flavorless because of the Abundant batter on the tiny slivers of onions.
As a disabled person who must use a rollator, my biggest pet peeve occurred when I needed to use the restroom. The door on the handicap stall opened outward toward me. Apparently whoever designs such things have never had to use a rollator. Exactly how in the hell are you supposed to pull a door towards you when you have a Contraption on four wheels in front of you? This normally wouldn’t be too big of an issue except there was no room to move my Rollator to the left or right of the door to open it . You are kind of Trapped in a little hallway of sorts between the wall and the non handicap stall door. Once in the handicap stall, it was nicely appointed and there were no issues once inside. There was plenty of room in fact so much so that it would have been easy to open the door had it opened inward.
The next issue came when washing and drying my hands. The soap dispensers are right next to the sinks and faucets which is where they should be. However, the paper towels are on the opposite wall from the sink. So, I had to push my Rollator with my wet hands over to the paper towel dispensers. The higher up of the two dispensers was out of paper towels and I had to stoop down while trying to balance myself holding my role later and using the paper towel dispenser that was only 3 ft off the floor.
The food was ok and staff friendly and polite. They have salad bar with veggies, soups and desserts. Some things at the salad bar looked and tasted old tho, such as lettuce, tomatoes ( mushy) and chocolate brownie was dry.
The sandwiches were ok too, but they could have some sauce or something for the sandwich since it felt a bit dry.
The sweet chili shrimp was good and crunchy, I recommend this appetizer.
The place seemed to be clean in general, the bathroom not too much.
Overall, a friendly place with affordable prices.
Our server Sharon even made sure we had small plates for the birthday cake we brought along.
