For dinner, we decided to check out the Happy Hours at Hoshun Restaurant just a 1 minute walk from our hotel at Historic Street Car Inn New Orleans.
Happy Hour at Hoshun Restaurant takes place from 4 to 7pm from Mondays to Saturdays and food are on Happy Hours as well. Since we had bought drinks, we decided to only order the food here. Thankfully, the food are on Happy Hour prices here at Hoshun Restaurant as well. This time, we ordered the Hoshun Trio ($10) and Sauteed Vegetables ($8) along with the Spicy Tuna ($5).
While the food didn’t have the “wow factor”, we actually enjoyed the meal. The vegetables were not too salty and the gravy had a familiar taste – something that we would have with our hor fun back home. Both of us enjoyed the meats in the Hoshun Trio that had beef, chicken and prawn. The beef and chicken were really tender and Tom enjoyed the sweet gravy that went well with the rice. Also, both dishes came with a small bowl of fried rice – not Chaufa great but decent. Spicy Tuna Sushi roll was good as well with the rich and tasty avocado…

Best service ever, Tim was very helpful navigating us through the menu. As well as very tentative to our needs! Came in from out of state for a show this weekend and wanted a late dinner. They went Above and Beyond our expectations! The food was fresh and delicious. Prices were very reasonable for the quality they provided. Would highly recommend anything off their menu

Really an enjoyable meal. The staff is friendly and checks in often. The food was really good. We made it for Happy Hour and had a great time. The selection of food is great and the quality was excellent too. We needed a break from typical southern cuisine and this place was perfect. The decor is dark but aesthetically pleasing which created a relaxing experience.

The menu has been reduced, but what is there is good. The sushi here is okay; there are tastier, fresher options nearby. When dining in service is good, prices are reasonable, sitting is ample. The place still looks fantastic inside. The ornate and glossy tables, the amazing Asian inspired chairs, the paintings and styling of the walls, the miscellaneous amazing pieces of decor.

This is the go to spot. If you don’t visit this place you are missing out on the best sushi the city has to offer. It’s a really chill environment at the bar area even if you don’t drink. Cynthia, knows everyone and is always a pleasure to have as a waitress/bartender. If you need a recommendation, get a playboy roll.

They made it happen. Greet at the door. Greetings at the table. They explained the menu. They gave us a better choice. The food came out timely. The food was hot and flavorful. It was a healthy size portion. Reasonably priced. I’m going back this week. 2 ‘s Up!

A former coworker and I love going here for happy hour. I love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. I always order the chicken wings, rice trio (crawfish and chicken) and crab ragoons. They also have sushi prices half off. Reasonable prices! Fresh sushi daily! I love this spot. Restaurant is very clean. The bathroom needs work. Only one stall working in the woman bathroom.

Garlic salmon 2-piece sushi is INCREDIBLE. GET IT.
Everyone loved their dishes. Didn’t have time to take a pic it was so good. We were a really big group and the server was super patient and understanding. I felt bad at one point and would have personally been v annoyed by how long some of us took to order food, but the server was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful.

Came here for dinner Friday night. Place was dimley lit but very welcoming.I had the Hoshun triple…Beef Chicken and Shrimp in a savory spicy sauce.. Very well seasoned and delicious. We also had the crawfish fried rice…i wish it was more seasoned but still pretty good. My wife had the fried pork in a sweet pineapple sauce…THAT WAS AMAZING!!! Plenty of leftovers for later.Bring your appetite cuz you’re gonna leave full!!
