Hoshi Sushi in Stony Brook is a staple for my husband and I for well-priced fresh, tasty all-you-can-eat sushi! We visit often and take our friends here as well for a fun meal where everybody can share rolls and sashimi. If you have somebody in your party who doesnt like seafood, there are fried rice, udon, and katsu options. The beef fried rice is fantastic — don’t skip it! The green tea ice cream is also very rich, creamy, and not-too-sweet (: give Hoshi a try!!

My go-to all you can eat sushi place! I bring my friends here often. The sashimi is amazing, flavorful, and fresh and there are many other great menu appetizers/sushi rolls like the salmon skin, miso soup, ice cream. and fried calamari. The service is a hit-or-miss and the last time I went there were several items we ordered that were not delivered so we had to reorder. Be prepared to wait ~20mins after each order. I’d definitely recommend this place however and to me, it’s well worth any wait. Just come with a good amount of time to eat.

Hoshi Sushi is one of my favorite places to get all you can eat sushi in Long Island. It’s definitely worth the long drive to stone brook because for $31.99, you get all you can eat sushi with a HUGEE variety of selections that include my favorites: salmon, tuna, squid, ikura, tobiko, surf clam, and my favorite: seared salmon!!! Finding a place with all you can eat seared salmon is a dream because it is absolutely delectable. The fish is so fresh and they are pretty generous with the portions. I always get the hot tea to pair well with my sushi. The service is very prompt and fast so you never have to wait too long for the food. The hot food bar is also pretty decent with their fried calamari and beef teriyaki, which tastes great. The only problem I have is that I wish the ice cream was all you can eat too, because their green tea ice cream is soo good and the servers never let us get more than one scoop per person.

Also, I would like to say a special thank you for the fact that Hoshi Sushi became my first restaurant where I tried a new food for me – sushi. I have never eaten them before at all. It was probably more than ten years ago. Since then, this place has become one of my favorite restaurants. I have never been disappointed. Nice and friendly service, fresh food.
I often order take-out food, I just call and pick it up in 20 minutes. But hopefully meeting friends again for lunch or dinner inside a restaurant soon like it was before COVID.
One of my favorite salads is Salmon, avocado salad (tuna or salmon, avocado and seaweed with mayonnaise and tobiko crunch on top).
By the way, green tea and ice cream are delicious too!

All u can eat sushi.. good sushi.. but if u dont eat it ALL.. they will charge you a “take out fee” and its about 50 cents to $1 PER PIECE of sushi. I got 5 rolls (2 of us) and we left about 6 pieces of sushi and they charged me $5 additional and then bagged it told me I can take it home.

Sushi was really good. Avocado salad was decent. The rock shrimp isn’t the best. The flavor is there but they cut up the shrimp real small and make it flat so you’re not getting much shrimp. Fried rice with veggies was tasty. I’d come back here.

Keeps me coming back for more every time. It takes a while for the food to arrive but it always tastes great and fresh and you’re left feeling very full and very satisfied for the price. Can be a wait during the busy hours but I can see why, this place is a must if you live in the area. They do sometimes forget some of your apps but you always get all the sushi you ordered. Best ayce sushi place

Fresh fish, great service, cozy environment, and satisfied always. The peppered tuna and seared salmon are top notch! Best way to end a meal with their green tea ice cream that tasted just like real matcha. I love the food here and will always make a return.
