Went here this morning. 1st time I’ve ever been here and WOW! Impressive !! First of all the donuts were delicious! My two boys loved them. Second, how incredibly unique! The selection here is amazing and artistic. We mixed in a few of the Monsta donuts, which were a hit with the kids. Very cool. All the employees were super nice and friendly. I ended up sparking up a conversations with the owners, who were phenomenal. And Monsta was the sleeper surprise of the shop. 10 outta 10!!. Must try!!!! We will be back. Go broncos!!

If you’re searching for a donut shop that goes beyond the ordinary, look no further than Horseshoe Donuts. This place isn’t just good—it’s exemplary. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh-baked goodness wraps around you like a warm hug, and the display case is a kaleidoscope of creativity.
What sets Horseshoe Donuts apart is their fearless approach to flavor and form. They don’t just make donuts—they craft edible experiences. Whether it’s a maple bacon masterpiece or a lavender-glazed delight, each donut feels like a small act of culinary rebellion against the bland and predictable.
But the crown jewel? Their cake-style donuts. Dense yet tender, with a satisfying crumb and just the right amount of sweetness, these are the kind of donuts that make you pause mid-bite and whisper, “Wow.” Whether you go for classic vanilla, rich chocolate, or a seasonal twist, the cake-style offerings are consistently sublime.
Horseshoe Donuts isn’t just a shop—it’s a celebration of what donuts can be. If you haven’t been, go. If you have, you already know.

The one star is only for the workers being pleasant. $24 for 6 donuts is insane. On top of that, a few of the donuts had raw dough in the middle. The picture is of the raw donut my three-year-old was eating. Will not be returning.

I feel so mixed with this review
The bad: the atmosphere is not okay. A kiddo needed to use the restroom, and the woman said, “be careful of the grease bin.” It’s was a wee bit shocking. I know that frying donuts requires a lot of oil, but you keep the discarded oil barrel (in a wagon) in the teeny, tiny bathroom?? Even though it’s used oil, it seems like a health hazard/complaint to me?? It just feels very wrong. I’m no health code worker, but my 2 cents would be to just say there’s no public bathroom, and/or keep the kitchen stuff in the kitchen.
Very interesting lol.
The good: The employees were great. So sweet. I called in advance and they set a certain kind of donut aside for me. I appreciated it so much because it was a long drive for me.
The great: This place just so happens to make my husband’s favorite donuts of all time. These are old-fashioned donuts. They’re dense and not super fluffy, yeast donuts like you’d find at Krispy Kreme. Think more along the lines of the old Daylight Donuts that you dip in your coffee. They’re also unique in their shape and designs, and they’re absolutely huge.

LOVE Horseshoe Donuts!!!! The donuts are worth every penny! Always get extra because everyone loves these donuts. The donuts are such a special treat for employees and people always want to bring a horseshoe or pony home..they say for their kids, lol! I do this for birthdays and special treats. They will even let you call ahead to order the day before so they are all ready for you to pick up.If you’ve never been here you need to add them to your “To Go To” list!

I think I would go back, if not for the atmosphere. Very friendly service/employees. The cake donuts are enormous, and the array of overall varieties is vast, but I would recommend avoiding the restroom and don’t go if you’re bothered by dogs – there was a large bulldog on a cot between the kitchen and main space.

Finally made it in to horseshoe donuts (their hours made it hard for our family to come), and it was good, but not great. Big, fun donuts, and fun saddle seats for the kids to sit on. The simple horseshoes were our favorites (though our girls loved the frosted horses) – everything else felt too sweet. The place itself was a bit messy and disorganized, and we felt a bit uncomfortable about using the bathroom and didn’t see any available drinking fountains.

Back when I was little, after behaving myself at the barbershop I sometimes was rewarded with a donut. So hey, even though I’m 80 now, I still treat myself with a bavarian-creme filled donut (if I behave in the barber’s chair). Nothing tops off a good haircut like a great donut!

Donuts are huge! The average person will only eat one, if that. I love donuts and have tried a bunch over the years. These aren’t bad donuts but not the best I’ve ever had. If you enjoy donuts and like to try to new places give them a try. These are some of the biggest donuts I’ve ever seen out in the wild.

Donuts are pretty good. We like to try different donut shops on our road trips and stopped in here passing through Monument. We tried 7 different types and would only recommend the blueberry fritter, raspberry filled and sour cream old fashioned. They were delicious! The other donuts were overly sweet or just okay. We were surprised that the maple bar had a cream filling as we would have preferred just a standard maple bar. The cream made it too sweet and took away from the classic flavor. Other reviews were spot on with the ambiance. Definitely a spot to grab and go with your donuts, not sit down.
