My favorite bakery in the El Paso area.. Family owned and run with incredible baked goods and traditional Mexican favorites! They don’t have a seating area but hits it outta the park for take-out every time!

Idk what these other people are talking about. Horizon bakery is always bumping for a reason. Their bread is reliably delicious, their menudo ALWAYS hits the spot, and their burritos are so yummy! I personally love that I can take my own pot for the menudo.

I am so heartbroken! First the half empty burritos, then half empty gorditas de arina, and now a half empty barbacoa torta. So today I am finally giving a review. I hope they take it serious. They are too overpriced to be making these mistakes. I love my bakery of 19 years, but lately they are disappointing though the bread is still great.

Sad… I was speaking to an employee giving my order and three times in a row did not even say excuse me, one moment, left me there talking to speak to another employee. The individual the came back would say what did you need then as I am giving my order again, walks away again. Comes back again what was the order (3 times). I was the only one there. Then once I said are you actually taking my order or cutting me off. No excuse me, one moment. Very rude she could have told me to wait, if she needed to speak to your coworker. Common courtesy and respect. I was calm. The the other individual (owner?) Just took, pulled the bread tong from her hand and said they were not helping me. (Obviously disrespecting her coworker). Awful customer service. I was not rude and did not raise my voice. They do not care if they loose a customer since they loose one gain one. I go there often as well as my family. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, will never return. I would rather drive to another Bakery that be treated with such disrespect. They have been rude before but this time I spoke up, i was the only one there. The Owner? older lady with glasses already had a sour face as I walked in at 6:45 am. Like if she was already irritated. Not friendly at all.

The food and bread aren’t as good anymore. The service is horrible. The lady that took my order had a snarky attitude the whole time. Not just towards me, but other clients as well. If you’re going to have bad service at least have good food.

Amazing sweet bread, the concha’s are comparable to the best bakeries in town, 10 out of 10. The maranitos and empanadas are probably a 6 out of 10. I also tried the quesadillas and they were really good. The flour tortillas are handmade which was worth it. People complain on here about prices but I moved from out of state so these are cheap prices compared to what I’m use to. Ordered through Uber eats and the food was still warm and fresh.
