From a 28 year old, born and raised San Diegan, these fish tacos were IT‼️

My girlfriend and I stopped by looking for something else only to find this food truck.

2 Mahi fish tacos and 2 BAJA Mahi, my goodness. Fish is fried to perfection, not soggy but not too crispy. Tortillas de maíz tasted like a tortilla de maíz (iykyk). The veggies and salsas bring it all together. First time ive ever had pineapple on a taco and didn’t get mad.

The woman who takes the orders THEN cooks is a very sweet lady, you can tell the tacos were made with love. I was able to order in my native tongue, which made me feel even more at home. Just remember “Patience is a virtue, but its fruit is sweet.” But in this case, it’s the fish tacos.

Get you some tacos, walk over to the beach, sit on a bench and get to work!

Went here on holidays and didn’t get to make a review. Really authentic owners and good service. 100% recommend the fresh lemonade, it went perfectly with the tacos. The Birria was personally our favourite and the Baja Mahi was also delicious. Overall the place was really nice and quite underrated.

Good sized portions and super tasty!! Got the surf wrap with pork and Cesar salad and husband got supreme nachos with pork. Both were amazing! I forgot to take a picture before taking a bite.. 🙂

I’ve had the small Taco’s, which are actually really good. Surely everyone’s taste is different. But this appears to be real good Mexican street Taco’s.

Ask what they recommend and you’ll be delighted. The Taco’s are kinda small, but tasteful. It gives you the opportunity to try different ones, rather than having just one.

The location directly at the street is okay, but not ideal for small kids. Otherwise, no complaints.

So good! I had the shrimp tacos everyone had recommended. Very tasty and such a deal. My daughter’s fries were crispy and delicious. And my son’s al pastor taco was good. They’re very friendly and like to chat with their customers. We also liked the covered eating area as well, a great place to relax in the shade. A great spot for an affordable and tasty meal.

Stopped by today for a quick bite. The Cabo shrimp taco was amazing. Lightly battered and topped with coleslaw! Yum!

We’re back again on Maui, and I had to stop by to get some tacos. They are so good! I got the Baja shrimp tacos, which are lightly battered and topped with little bits of pineapple. My daughter got carne asada tacos. And we also got chips and guacamole. Always love stopping by this place!

We used to eat here often, but it’s been awhile, ordered tonight. Asked for the taco aioli sauce on the side cuz it’s got a little heat, they mixed it in, so taco is un-eatable. Ordered Guac & Chips, chips are totally stale and guacamole is tiny! Very disappointing to get your food home and it sucks, probably won’t be back.

Finally tried this place, we were craving taco Tuesday tacos so we decided to give this place a try. I’ve driven by it so many times I feel bad I hadn’t tried it sooner. So good! This place is a true street taco place. Run down tables in a parking lot. No bathrooms but I’m okay with that, if people co.plain about the cleanliness then I dont think they frequent street vendors very often. We ordered up one of each type of taco. Place wasnt super packed but did take 10 minutes to get our first order. I’m alright with waiting but if you go there starving your mouth will water. They had a sauce I dont k how what it is but it’s in a big squeeze bottle and it was tasty. Out of all the tacos I liked the chicken and El Pastor the best. The chicken meat was high quality and of all the tacos it was the most packed, definitely a steal for 2 for $5. I plan on going back and giving their quesadillas a try, and slowly go down the board until I’ve tried everything. It’s worth a stop and eat, so glad I finally went here as I ride by it so much. Quick cheap meal! A steal for the price especially here on Maui. I would recommend this for anyone craving tacos.

Tacos were really good. The prices were great too considering the location and proximity to the beach and shopping area. $2 for $5 plus a $2 lemonade, not bad for a lunch. Service was fast and friendly. If you’re around go grab some.

As food trucks go, this one is 5 star due to friendly service, very fresh and delicious tacos, quick, easy and affordable. Many condiment options. Served in carry out containers, nice for a beach picnic.
Across the street from Kalama Park, covered and clean seating with tables, great people watching place to be!

After deliberating over the Mexican options nearby, I settled on Horhitos hoping for some simple but delicious tacos.

I went for the whitefish, shrimp and pork tacos and a lemonade.
Whitefish was well prepared but not seasoned and paired with the Chipotle mayo, pico and lettuce, it was pretty underwhelming.
Pork was stewed pork (think carnitas without being fried) served with pico. While the pork was seasoned, it was a little bland and tasted closer to Kahlua pork than Mexican seasoned pork.
The shrimp were the winner being seasoned, well prepared and complimented well by the Chipotle mayo and pico.
Lemonade was good, a little watery, but good.
All in, I was a little disappointed, but if you’ve got a hankering, just go for the shrimp taco and skip the other two.
