The true mark of any bbq place is the how good the sides are. Most focus on the meats as they should but if the sides fall flat so does the whole experience. The sides are did not disappoint. The beans, potato salad, and the cornbread were on point. And they nailed the banana pudding.

The food in this place is well worth the trip. We ordered the 2 meat platter with the two sides. Brisket and pulled pork with BBQ beans and potato salad. Both meats were prepared with care, juicy, well seasoned and smoked to perfection. We were worried to try the bbq here as the PNW is not known for BBQ however we were pleased with the product. They delivered on the food. Now on the service we are not sure if is always like this average minus but man not a smile, not a welcome to…., no pleasantries just straight yes, no, ordered taken and back to the empty bar. Maybe the lady behind the counter was having a bad day or not feeling well but this was not the type of interaction we expected. From someone who truly enjoys beers, wines and food they fell short on the service. Again the place was very empty as it was past the traditional lunch hours. I will say give them your business and try the food and beers very delicious and you will leave satisfied and happy you came. Maybe a different front staff individual could make the customers feel a bit more welcome but this felt like the person didn’t wanted to be there. So to Ms. S this was for you. Overall highly recommend this location for the food and beer hopefully someone else takes better care of the customers.

Great small neighborhood place to grab a beer and food! Meatballs were a bit bland. Nachos with pork are amazing! Brisket street tacos were the best! Great beer choices on tap. BBQ sauces were great! Service was very friendly! Reasonably priced! Best Mac n’ cheese ever!!

What a busy, bustling, bbq stop located in such a unique place, on the hill top. They have select drafts, wines, and spirits with a happy hour until 6. The bartenders were moving the entire time and with the crowd, you just know the food is good. I ordered a queso bowl that has a blend of cheese, corn, beans, and of course brisket!!!!!!! Yum paired with warm tortilla chips. I enjoyed a cider and left no room for dessert. I’m hoping to come back one more time before I leave the state for the wings.

On our way back home, we stopped in at Hops on the Hill in Tumwater WA, and we were so glad we did. It’s a cute little pub that is, in fact, on the hill. He ordered the Smoked Brisket Mac & Cheese bowl, and that may have been the best brisket we’ve had in quite some time. I ordered the St. Patrick’s Day special – a Rueben sandwich made with some amazingly delicious corned beef on golden toasted Rye bread. I also had an old fashioned which was well made, and he had a sour from Pfreim.
The staff was friendly and attentive. The dining area is nice, looking with a rustic collection of hard hewn woods. The parking lot is decently sized. They have an outdoor dining area that appears to be only one seasonally. The restroom was clean and well kept. All in all, a great stop for a weekend lunch.

We love this place! Walking in you are always greeted. JJ was attentive and friendly. The game was on with volume and there were raffle drawing through the game to keep the spirits high. We don’t live near this neighborhood hangout but it is worth the drive.

Great authentic BBQ and fast service
Love that this spot is on the way to/from Ocean Shores, it’s definitely going to become a guilty pleasure going to the beach and then getting some brisket on the way back
LOVED the brisket and pulled pork (both were soft and juicy); my boyfriend and I shared a 2 meat plate and it was more than enough food.
The soft pretzels are also a great bite, super soft and fluffy!
The decor and music set a very fun yeehaw ambiance which was a unique experience for me
Pros:
* fast service and food!
* authentic delicious BBQ
* decent price; a 2 meet plate was $33 which my partner and I shared amongst ourselves and it was more than enough food for us both
* for my drink girlies and guyos, they have all day happy hours on Saturday
Cons:
* the location can be out of the way depending on where you’re located

I cannot say enough good about this place. The food was amazing. We had the street tacos, chopped brisket and pulled pork. I couldn’t pick a favorite. This was followed by the soft pretzels, the cheese was fantastic and plenty to cover the pretzels. The bartender, Anna, pronounced Anya, takes great pride in every drink she makes. This place will make you feel better after a long day for sure.

The Tex Mex salad with smoked turkey worked really well with the spicy marionberry BBQ sauce. Spouse said her pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and middle kid said the brisket went great with both the Texas BBQ and the Carolina mustard sauce. Good beer selection. Great people.
