Pleasantly surprised by this place!
The food and service easily deserve more than five stars.
My chicken sandwich was juicy and perfectly seasoned. I’m not a fan of mayo-based coleslaw—I prefer vinegar—but that’s just personal taste. The sweet potato fries with honey? Yes, please!
His (yes, I stole a bite) was juicy, cheesy, and gooey in the best way—cooked to perfection with crispy toasted bread. The steak fries were a bit undercooked for my liking, but overall, everything was amazing.
We’ll definitely be back to try more items from the menu!
Last but not least, Katrina and her little helper were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

Went to Hops and Barley for our first time with my mother-in-law and father-in-law. They’ve been before and said everything was good from here, so of course we had to try it. Honestly, I believe them because everything we tried was fantastic! The fried pickles and potato skins were so yummy. My mom had grilled shrimp, they were soooo good. I had the fish tacos and sweet potato waffle fries, both were delicious as well. I think they were the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever eaten we went around 4 pm on a Saturday and it was not crowded, only a few other couples at tables. We were very comfortable talking and eating. We felt very welcomed, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and will be returning!

I wish that had an option for a 6 star rating. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and the service alone is worth going. The entire staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing. My burger was one of the best I’ve had in Tennessee so far. If you go, definitely get the fried Okra. I am so glad I went and will definitely be back. I got the pickle burger with an egg and my fiance made his own burger.

WOW….First time at this restaurant in union city, Tennessee. Food was good …hot. drinks were good.. not real busy at lunch hour so we were able to talk without much noise. Server polite and helpful. We will be back.

Really good burgers . I had the “who’s your daddy”. The brisket quesadilla fell short on flavor. The fries are good. A fair choice of beer, I do wish they had more craft independent brews available. It has a weird vibe here. Maybe a sports bar meets small town Cafe? A couple of waitresses had their small kids at work with them, and our waitress forgot part of our order before getting to the kitchen. We’ll probably try it again soon. Still good!

Worst ribeye I’ve ever had in my life. One side was seared so hard it was basically charred. The other side had zero color. In addition I ordered the steak medium and what I received was way beyond well done.
