No wonder this is such a “hopping” vibe! My first thought in entering was, ahh cool. Cool & comfy decor with a long bar and lots of brews to read above it. Games to play loaded on the back shelves and an inviting patio where we ate. Massive gas firepit and amazing octopus painting clinch the atmos as the lights above further the vibe. A bit chilly and the helpful staff brought out blankets! The pizzas were DELICIOUS – fire- cooked in a gorgeous, abalone-looking tiled oven. Of course the beers were wonderful – lots of rich & hoppy flavors. Hope and Fog is a new favorite!

We came to this brewery after a terrible meal at the pretentious restaurant Fandango next door.
Here, they completely fixed the emotional and psychological damage caused by that disgusting duck and bottled beer for over $100.
They make pizza in a real Italian brick oven, and it’s excellent. There’s a fantastic selection of amazing beer — cider, stout, and all kinds of brews for any taste. The service is good, clean, and genuinely friendly.
It was also very pleasant to see the kitchen: through the open door you could clearly see that everything was spotless and shining.

Atmosphere is nice and cozy. The pizza looks great, but I came in to check out the beer. I’m a west coast IPA guy and unfortunately there was none on tap except for another breweries beer. I had their hazy, which was a little underwhelming. I’d like to give this place five stars, but I was a bit disappointed in the beer.

It was my first time at Hops and Fog Brewing, and I was really impressed. The pizza was outstanding with a crisp wood fired crust, generous toppings, and amazing flavor. You can taste the care that goes into it. The beer selection is excellent with something for everyone and real attention to quality. Mike has made several trips to Belgium, and you can sense that influence in the way his beers are crafted. His passion for brewing and for the community stands out the moment you talk to him. Mike and his team have brought new life and energy into what used to be a quiet town, and it shows in the atmosphere. They also host special events throughout the year and around holidays, which adds even more character to the place. The vibe is warm, fun, and welcoming without feeling crowded. The staff are friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Between the great beer, delicious pizza, other foods and dessert, and positive energy, this place is a perfect addition to Pacific Grove.

It’s a cool spot, I’d go back for sure. The Legend and Pepperoni were both tasty pizzas. Like most of the local food, pricey. The staff, despite the huge crowd, were pretty quick. The beer selection was alright, but No Lagers 🙁

Our favorite restaurant during my family’s West Coast trip. We decided to stop for lunch after visiting the aquarium and I am so glad we did. The walk by the coast was beautiful and just a short walk to the restaurant. The bar bites are so unique, the bruschetta was our fav! My 4 year old was so excited for the teenage mutant ninja turtle pizza, he is still talking about it weeks later! Great beer selections and the outdoor seating was perfect.
