The ingredients were super fresh, the food was served quickly, and the value was excellent. I was visiting Houston and I was unaware of this restaurant, I was so surprised with the experience I came back the next night. I had a classic burger with cheese, bacon, and topped with an egg. Sensational! And, as good as the burger was, the parmasean and truffle fries were just as sensational.

If you’re a fan of fancy burgers this is definitely the place to go. They serve all kinds of interesting and unusual burgers, including bison and chicken, with all sorts of tantalizing toppings such as goat cheese, jam, fried onions, and their house made aioli, just to name a few. Most of their burgers are delicious with well balanced flavors, but some of them are a miss. Their milkshakes (particularly the boozy ones) are rich and refreshing. Their fries (all of them) are always a hit too. My only complaint is that I never know what to expect for the portion size since it’s different every time I go.

Cleanliness: The food runners never so much as smiled or said “enjoy” when dropping off our food at the table but I’ll chock that up to just being an off night. Cleanliness, however, should never have an off night. There was what looked to be half of a spilled drink or maybe just melted ice under our assigned table and the base of the table looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in months, there was a broom that had fallen over and almost into the main walk way tucked between 2 tables right near the front door, 2 dust bins were also tucked between the tables and the fallen broom, there were about 10 dirty baskets/trays/bowls/cups with food and napkins stacked up right next to the self-serve drink station (covered roughly 3 feet of the counter), the drink machine had no ice and the ice/drip tray was over flowing with ice, there were 5 open containers of ketchup in front of the ketchup dispenser, and as we were walking to our car I saw a table that had another spilled drink and food underneath with wads of paper towels pushing everything against the window on the floor.
Prices: I did not know my barely 4-inch glass of a frozen margarita with strawberry was going to be $7. Yes, I measured the glass. I originally asked for a small margarita but was charged for a full size and the receipt shows the strawberry was free. After reading my receipt and before receiving the drink I told the cashier I wanted a small. He said they dont have smalls so I pointed to it on the menu. He called over the manager and he issued a refund for the regular size and a new transaction was made for a small margarita with strawberry by the original cashier. The strawberry was now $1.25. I knew the margarita would be small but a 4-inch glass that’s maybe 2oz total? For $7? It would be nice to see the cost of the alcohol that was actually in that glass because it could not have been more than 1.5oz worth. Tasted great but absolutely in no way worth $7. The $8.50 shareable fries were for myself and the 2 guests I was with, but the $13.75 patty melt was just for me. $13.75 for just the patty melt. Just the sandwich was that price. No additions, no substitutions, no garnish, no pickle, no extra sauce, no drink, no personal portion of fries. Just the sandwich on a small baking tray lined with paper, and a knife to cut it.
The restaurant was busy with a decently loud bar feeling. A bit difficult to have a conversation but after accepting it was a bar, it was fine. The best part of the meal and experience was the small milkshake for $3.95. I will not be back.

The food was great and the staff was extremely friendly. The floor around the table was a bit dirty but someone may have just got up. The reason that didnt reduce the stars was the manager was really good at his job. Came over greeted us asked how everything was, asked if he could get us anything. Very good attitude and customer skills. Unfortunately I didnt get his name. Would definitely recommend this location.

My family and I really enjoyed our time at this Hopdoddy location! My wife had a burger, my kid had some chicken tenders, and I had the Nashville hot chicken. Fries and sweet potato fries were excellent! Thin cut and crispy. Overall really happy with the meal. Pretty fair pricing, but pretty decent value. Good to have “once in awhile” but not much more.

I’ve been coming here for years, and they never disappoint, I like to come on off hours because I hate a rush. My husband and I love a good burger and of course they’re a truffle fries are always calling. I also indulged in the brussel sprouts and a highly recommended situation will be coming back as we often do, maybe once a quarter or what not just because balance is everything but highly recommended for relatively faster basis if it’s on off hours, good drinks, reasonable prices, great collaborations for delicious burgers, and also quite good salads which we did not get this done but I often do. I often do. I tried the pineapple habanero drink and it was perfect other than the rim job which I recommend them adding chamoy to the rim and then dipping it. However, the flavor, the matching and the level of alcohol was perfect pairing. I’d recommend for anybody and everybody even if you don’t like traditional burgers. They do have chicken, turkey, black bean, and ahi as an option which I’ve tried all of them and they are also spectacular. But do expect it to be messy, like myself. They are saucy

Stopped by Hopdoddy’s to pick up lunch and went straight for my go to: the Chicken Bacon Ranch Bowl. I tried it months ago, and it’s had me in a choke hold ever since.
There’s just something about the combination of flavors that hits every time- it’s so satisfying I haven’t been able to move on yet! The chicken is flavorful, the ranch is spot on, and the whole bowl just works.
Also appreciate that when you order it to go, they separate the chicken patty from the greens to keep everything fresh and prevent sogginess. Thoughtful touch!
