After meaning to stop by Hop & Vine Taproom for a long time, I finally made it on a chilly Thursday evening while walking with my whole family. Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! The hostess warmly greeted us and mentioned that dogs are welcome inside, which was great news considering my 130lb Rottweiler wouldn’t mind a warm invite indoors. The outside looked pretty inviting, and even with the chill in the air, we decided to take advantage of the outdoor fire and settled right in.
Exploring the restaurant was a treat! I was impressed by the spacious two-story space filled with an incredible selection of beers, liquors, kombucha, and wines—plus non-alcoholic options for everyone. Walking around Hop & Vine Taproom took me back to the days when my husband and I were just a couple of curious kiddos, eager to explore the world of drinks. We used to hit up similar joints in the city for long hours without looking at the clock. Walking around this restaurant gave that nostalgic vibe a major upgrade—like going from flip phones to smartphones!
Aside from my personal nostalgia, this place offered a good range of games, including board games and some arcade machines, for everyone. I noticed they also host activities during the week, which sounded fun, but we had to head home early for my little one’s bedtime.
The food was great, with plenty of options for the kids, and our hostess, Monica, was consistently checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Parking was convenient across the street, with plenty of options available during the week, though I can’t speak for the weekends.
If you’re looking for a kid- and dog-friendly spot where you can unwind with a drink (or two) while your kids enjoy a nice meal and some coloring with complimentary crayons, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back soon! Did I mention the service was fantastic, and party bookings are available too!
The kitchen is run by an unbelievably talented chef who lets her imagination soar with the stuff coming out of this spot. Great sandwiches from her take on a Cuban Sandwich that rivals Miami, great sliders, wings and desserts. They even added a late night menu that’s amazing too.
Best new spot in Stamford to chill, have a drink, play darts or shuffleboard, play board games, hang with friends, watch a game. No pretenses, all are welcome and they treat everyone exceptionally well.
Welcome Connor, Sakk, Matt and the entire great friendly team to Stamford. We are better because you’re here….
