A Family Affair: The Perfect Spot for Fun, Food, Kiddos, and Fido!

After meaning to stop by Hop & Vine Taproom for a long time, I finally made it on a chilly Thursday evening while walking with my whole family. Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! The hostess warmly greeted us and mentioned that dogs are welcome inside, which was great news considering my 130lb Rottweiler wouldn’t mind a warm invite indoors. The outside looked pretty inviting, and even with the chill in the air, we decided to take advantage of the outdoor fire and settled right in.
Exploring the restaurant was a treat! I was impressed by the spacious two-story space filled with an incredible selection of beers, liquors, kombucha, and wines—plus non-alcoholic options for everyone. Walking around Hop & Vine Taproom took me back to the days when my husband and I were just a couple of curious kiddos, eager to explore the world of drinks. We used to hit up similar joints in the city for long hours without looking at the clock. Walking around this restaurant gave that nostalgic vibe a major upgrade—like going from flip phones to smartphones!
Aside from my personal nostalgia, this place offered a good range of games, including board games and some arcade machines, for everyone. I noticed they also host activities during the week, which sounded fun, but we had to head home early for my little one’s bedtime.
The food was great, with plenty of options for the kids, and our hostess, Monica, was consistently checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Parking was convenient across the street, with plenty of options available during the week, though I can’t speak for the weekends.
If you’re looking for a kid- and dog-friendly spot where you can unwind with a drink (or two) while your kids enjoy a nice meal and some coloring with complimentary crayons, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back soon! Did I mention the service was fantastic, and party bookings are available too!

Was looking for karaoke in the area all day. Finally found this place towards the end of the night. Great karaoke music selection! Didn’t try the food, but there was a wide selection of beverages. Everything from non-alcoholic, to wine, to ciders and beer all on tap. Charged by the ounce, so you can try them all to find your favorite. If liquor is your thing, there’s a traditional bar on site as well. There’s also board games, a pool/billiard table, and some arcade games. Will definitely visit again. Wish I found it sooner!

The only reason I am giving it four stars is because my food came out about 5 mins before my husband’s and it wasn’t busy….Other than that….I got the BEC and it was hot and delicious…my hubby got the chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it. Having the ability to try different beers(with a large selection)is great! The atmosphere was mellow but it was on a Sunday and they do offer a brunch menu. Definitely a place to try

Great idea. Love the pour your own but be prepared that you are REQUIRED TO TIP. They make you drop your cards in a box at the end with 18, 20, or 22% tip. Don’t understand why Im forced to tip someone when I poured my own beer. It’s not like there is service for anything unless you get food. So ridiculous and just adds to the exhaustion of tipping culture. Will not be back or recommend to anyone.

Had an amazing time at Hop & Vine despite not being a beer drinker. Loved the pour-your-own tap experience and enjoyed the cider and hard lemonade. The vibes were fun and relaxed with plenty of comfortable seating. Service was excellent! Shout-out to Paige who offered complimentary shots when she found out it was my birthday. Definitely will be back!

Fantastic spot for craft beers, kombucha, ciders, wines, canned drinks (High Noon, Onda, and other Gluten free options) and yes they do amazing craft cocktails and non alcoholic cocktails and beers too.

The kitchen is run by an unbelievably talented chef who lets her imagination soar with the stuff coming out of this spot. Great sandwiches from her take on a Cuban Sandwich that rivals Miami, great sliders, wings and desserts. They even added a late night menu that’s amazing too.

Best new spot in Stamford to chill, have a drink, play darts or shuffleboard, play board games, hang with friends, watch a game. No pretenses, all are welcome and they treat everyone exceptionally well.

Welcome Connor, Sakk, Matt and the entire great friendly team to Stamford. We are better because you’re here….

Decent place to hangout. The prices kill the stayability. Every time I go with my friends or husband we have sticker shock when you do so much of the work yourself. The couches are nice but the primary seating is terribly uncomfortable. Then the water coolers are weird, why not have a tap for free water or sparkling?
