On top of that, HOP offers a 15% NHS (blue light) discount, which is such a thoughtful touch. Great food, family-friendly, and excellent service – we’ll definitely be back!
As for meals, it’s better to select just the dish only, not together with side and drink – the selections weren’t really worth the price increase, some small dry incomplete salad mix, or water or soda. Other selections that people actually want, like proper salad or a fizzy drink would just add even more to the cost apart from the cost added when first selecting the meal deal with side and drink. And some drinks added £4 to the already increased cost. So I would just select the main dish and buy anything else separately.
What the pictures show and what you actually get are totally different, not even similar in any way!
The white rocket is nice and strong, decent heat as well.
However the egg rocket was cold with very little coffee at all.
Putting them in paper cups really spoiled the flavours of both.
Disappointed.
When my order arrived, the coffee appeared curdled and separated (see photos). I wasn’t sure if this was normal, but it looked unappetising and tasted off. The texture was grainy and unpleasant, and the cream on top didn’t resemble the smooth, rich, slightly salty foam that salt coffee is known for in Vietnam.
I understand I’m in Manchester and not Vietnam, and I wasn’t expecting perfection but this didn’t feel like an authentic or well-executed version at all. For £4.25, I expected much better quality and presentation.
Sadly, I couldn’t finish it and wouldn’t order it again.
For quite some time, I have harboured a desire to sample an authentic Bánh Mì sandwich, though circumstances and scarcity often impeded such ambitions. Imagine my delight, then, upon encountering HOP’s caramelised chicken Bánh Mì—a revelation of flavour, masterfully balanced and executed. Accompanying this were the vegetable gyoza, bursting with freshness and finesse, each bite a testament to careful craftsmanship.
As for the libations: a tart yet refreshing lemonade, a jubilant tropical slushie, a perfectly brewed Vietnamese drip iced coffee, and a delightful strawberry boba milk—all offerings of exemplary quality, befitting of any discerning palate. Each was prepared with such attention to detail, one could scarcely fault a single element.
The staff, I must commend most highly. Their warmth, attentiveness, and efficiency elevated the experience considerably, all while maintaining an admirable pace of service. The interiors, too, were thoughtfully curated—contemporary yet inviting, with a design that speaks to both elegance and comfort.
Indeed, I have perused the establishment’s website with great interest, curious to ascertain whether franchising opportunities may arise. Should HOP consider extending its reach northward, I would be most eager to explore the potential of introducing this culinary jewel to Scotland.
A most sincere commendation to the team—do continue this marvellous work. You shall have in me a watchful and enthusiastic supporter.
