After driving past this place for months and thinking id like to try it, when I did i was highly disappointed. I ordered thru door dash to pickup myself at 7:30pm. Upon arriving to get my order I had to call because they were closed. A waitress answered to tell me they hadnt checked the door dash orders, which she thought was funny because she couldnt stop giggling about it. The cook agreed to cook our food. The pork chops were bland, the potatoes were cold in the middle, and the juice from the corn covered the entire bottom of the to go box. I think the food was heated in a microwave. We also ordered catfish and was told it wasnt available and got a green chilie burger instead that wasnt cooked all the way. I paid $60 in total for our dinner and the only part that was good was the mini slider appetizer. McDonald’s would have been half the cost and way better.

11/13/25- It was our first time dining there and we were not disappointed. The French toast combo was great, large portion of hash browns and hot fluffy eggs. The waffles there are top notch! Great food with wonderful service is what you get at the Hop In.

Had to edit my last review, this time it’s still busy on a Friday and luckily we had the same waiter, he’s killing it, the whole dining by itself, loved the service as always! Very down to earth, he makes you feel so welcome and important, not just us but the way he takes care of all the tables, everyone is having a good laugh, refill and follow up! Big smile to everyone saying thank while they’re all leaving…

This hidden gem is out of this world! Yes. Pun intended. We stopped in on our way out of town. We were greeted by very friendly staff. So friendly, that I asked if I could take photos to post because it’s kind of our thing. Anthony not only said yes, he gave us the Facebook AND took our photo, as well! Forget IHOP, drive by McDonald’s and stop here! The food is amazing! And soooo much of it! We will be back! Thank you!
And back we are!! I’m glad to see they are now open from 6 am to 8 pm. This means business is good. It’s been over 6 months since our first visit to this beautiful diner and not only was the food, once again out of this world…bisquits and gravy reminded me of my Mom’s….but Anthony remembered us from our only other visit! Came in after a long trip for dinner before I continued my trip back home to have dinner and was not completely happy with my experience. We’ve place a pretty large order with three of us in our party and the food came out about 5 minutes after ordering. Not sure if they have the food already prepared in the back and just microwaved to warm up and bring out. My Mom had grits that was very raw and made her sick. She ended up vomiting outside in front of the restaurant. I will say I had mixed feelings about our waitress, at first I felt she was not so nice and later upon leaving I felt she was nicer maybe for the tip lol. A guy came out to ask us if everything was ok, not sure if he was the owner or the cook or both but I’d have to say that he was nice and friendly. Nooooot sure if I’d return again though. To me it wasn’t the best.

Came in for a late lunch today, the food was very good. I enjoyed the cheese sticks. The waffle and fries were delicious; nice and crispy. The water is also really good here, it doesn’t taste like tap water like many places do. The service was excellent, our waitress made sure we had everything we needed and checked up on us often. Definitely recommended the breakfast and lunch items

I don’t recommend eating at this establishment. This was my first and last time going to eat here. We ordered 2 Green Chile cheese burgers and the burgers was gross. We decided not to eat the food. We paid and left without eating $40 to be disappointed.
