Stopped here while passing thru Lowell. Best BBQ I have ever had!! Would definitely recommend. Pork Mac n Cheese, Brussel sprouts, and nachos were 10/10.

Second time eating here. Stood at the door for 5 minutes while a waitress stared at us counting money. Didn’t tell anyone we were there. Finally the bartender saw us. First time here was really good. So decided to give it another try. Well, safe to say it’s 50/50, because the second time was not great. Frickles were great both times, it ended there. Bbq the first time good, second horrible. Pork was 50% grizzle and fat, the rest must of been from 2 day ago. Had zero flavor and was dried out like jerky. No way it was made today. Chicken was horribly salty and dried out as well. The waitress said she talked to the manager and they said it’s always like that. Wasn’t last time, but whatever. She offered something else but I wasn’t about to order more food. Just slid it to the side. Boneless wings were so over cooked and dried out. Fortunately those you could soak in bbq sauce to get down. Card cards still come up as big boiler, the old place. So, I’m guessing it just a rebrand.

The food and service is amazing. The same great tasting food and extremely attentive staff just like the Greenville location. The only difference seems to be the location it’s self. The food was delicious and just amazing. It is truly amazing that the food quality is set high at both locations and held perfectly between the two. Just another place to add to the rotation for when we are in Lowell.

We had a great experience at Hop Hog in Lowell, Michigan! Our server, Abbie, was absolutely fantastic. She was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and that our food was perfect. Abbie did an amazing job explaining the menu and answering all of our questions, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. The service was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time, friendly, attentive, and professional. We will definitely be back and hope to have Abbie as our waitress again!

My wife and I have been here twice. The food is celiac friendly/gluten free, vegan friendly and the food is actually good. Most of the food is made in house (from my understanding) the smoked meats are excellent and the staff is personable.

Kate was amazing, as always! We sat at the bar and she was attentive, engaging, and clearly knows her craft. Drinks were perfect, service was seamless, and she creates such a welcoming, fun atmosphere. One of the best bartenders around! She’s a rockstar!

The barbecue here is amazing. The craft beer has quite a few different options and I have not had one I did not like. Wednesdays are half off wings. Not all their sauces are available for tossing which is a bummer but overall exceptional food.
They have a great Tuesday night family special that we look forward to picking up. A great place to stop in.

We have visited Hop Hog a few different times. Usually we have great service etc. However, this time I was not impressed. Our party ordered the Tuesday Family Meal Deal. Great! There was plenty of food but what was disappointing was the plate size! They brought us out appetizers plates how do you put mac and cheese, Cole slaw and a sandwich on an appetizers plate? The sandwich alone took up the plate! Also there was nothing to scoop the food with. Everyone had their own fork but nothing to use as a community spoon. The fries were cold too. Our waitress checked with us right away after we received our food but never check back to see If we needed refills and the place wasn’t busy. No excuse for the lack of service. I usually don’t complain, but I would suggest investing in some spoons and bigger plates if you want people to eat at your place. Little things go a long way.

Sign said “wait for hostess.” Only one’s waiting in line. Took 10 minutes for us to get greeted. Waited at table 20 minutes before waitress came to our table. Waited 24 minutes for food. Food was cold. Bun on my sandwich was very hard. Not impressed with food.
Will not be going back. Third time in a row. Same experience each time.

We stopped in about 3:30 on a Sunday. Overall the food was really good. They were out of some things because they had had a very busy lunch crowd but that is to be expected sometimes. My husband really liked the back ribs and he is very picky about ribs. We have had ribs all over the country and when we travel, we always try their local BBQ places. Rarely do I hear that he would come back for to eat them again. We loved that the sauces were on the table. They were flavorful! I had the pulled pork. The meat was tender and moist which was good but sadly had no smoke flavor. It might have just been the time of day we were there but the lack of smoke was disappointing. My daughter had the Rueben and she really liked it. The carrot cake was REALLY good! We split the one piece between 3 people. I highly recommend saving room for it! Overall we were very happy and will definitely be back.
