Great service from Alysha! She basically runs the show— if you like a local vibe but with excellent food and beer selections— this place is for you! We’ve had the Cubano, truffle caesar salad, potato bites and more. Quality is consistent and service is great. Decor is a vibe and I have even seen the kitchen staff dance!

Come on down for a nice local experience!

We are never disappointed when we come to Hop Haus! The food, drinks, and service is always great. If you love a spicy margarita, I highly recommend you try their seasonal Fireside Margarita

(Last visited March 13, 2025.) I’ve visited Hop Häus quite a few times and have managed to check out a variety of dishes both before and after the legendary Von Hurd joined the squad. Here’s the summation of my experiences here.

Atmosphere/Appearance: I love the vibe in here. It’s so open, chill, laid back and it’s a really come-as-you-are sort of place which I definitely fancy. The music is a bit upbeat, there’s a private parking lot, the staff are friendly and take good care of you, what more could you want?

Food: I won’t go over all 15+ things I’ve had here, but I’ll highlight a few of them. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is delightful. Tender, buttery, spicy and satisfying. The wings here are good, but you have to be careful. Depending on who’s in the kitchen, your wings will come out really dry or tender and juicy. That is an inconsistency that’s not okay in my book. I hope they’ve figured that out now. My favorite flavor is the Buffalo Blue that gives you a bit of spice with mild creaminess. I was also a big fan of the Bison Cast Iron Mac & Cheese, but could use some hot sauce on that thang! Lol. The Garlic Parmesan wings are a bit dry… and lacked flavor, but not everyone can get those right. Overall, the food here is solid. I haven’t ventured much into the entrees since I tend to stick to wings when I hit up places like these.

Value: Very affordable. It’s a neighborhood bar/tavern so you won’t break the bank here.

In conclusion, you’ll see me here more often! I love the craft beers they have on tap, the wide variety of menu items and just the atmosphere that makes me feel like family. Check this place out!

Once a month I come to CT for work and the Hop Haus is my go to. The bar tender, Alysha is amazing. The manager, Jenny is welcoming and incredibly friendly. They both make me feel at home. The food, the beer. All top notch.

Great meal and great atmosphere! Nice new building, too! We had the cauliflower appetizer and that was amazingly delicious. I ended up getting the Cubano which was phenomenal! The pulled pork was so tender and juicy and the French fries were crispy and hot. My husband got the bison burger and that was also so tasty! Perfectly grilled! Had some beer on tap to top off everything! Highly reccomend and will be back!

I should have read the reviews about the take out portions. This was supposed to be short rib poppers, didn’t realize it was build your own and for $12 is sad and pathetic. The poutine was also $12 and laughable. Cheddar cheese curds? Nope more like a small splash of something melted, cheese was barely to be seen. Wife’s burger was supposed to be medium well, guess their definition was full pink in the middle. Honestly tasted like a frozen patty.

This is one to pass up, I won’t even give it another try in person, avoid take out at all costs.

This was our first time here, after living in area for past 3 yrs. Saw this being built and we definitely were not disappointed. We will be back,
I had chicken tenders with fries and the husband had the hot honey chicken with Mac n cheese n coleslaw on it with homemade chips. Food was excellent and our service was amazing from Amy. Next time the husband will try the cubano sandwich and I am going to try the Mac and cheese
Happy Thanksgiving to the owner and staff

1.19.24 Parking was a little tricky, but I was told more spots available to the right as you enter. Friendly staff greeted us as we entered. Making online reservations and by phone was easy. Happy hour, $5 wine. Wow! And the other specials were great too. The cauliflower, brussel sprouts, pretzel, tacos, and chicken tenders were all amazing. Cozy atmosphere and good service. Great 1st time experience, so I hope to come back again.

Our first time at the Berlin Hop Haus.

Wow! It was incredible.
The staff were quick, kind, and we felt extremely welcomed.

They have an amazing drink selection. Sours are my favorite and they always have a few great options for sours.
The poutine was AMAZING. I just had to get a picture of the cheese pull. The gravy tasted flavorful and just absolutely perfect. Not to mention I love their fries.

The atmosphere in Berlin is my absolute favorite part of this restaurant. It is spacious, comfortable, and just the perfect space to relax.
Unfortunately, when we went, it was raining. We will have to go back to try out the patio on a nice day.

Wow, beautiful restaurant in a great location. The menu isn’t huge, however, most of it is high quality, unique with some all time favorites. I started with the bison chili and loved it, quite a few natural flavors and nice chunky pieces of Bison. Then I had the truffle Cesar salad, I got educated on a truffle this day, makes a cesar salad even better, with cornbread croutons, I liked them. Finished with the Korean BBQ tacos. Kimichi BBQ sauce and sesame, pulled pork, cole slaw and sour cream, very good. Lots more I want to try here and I’ll be back soon.
