This place is delicious and the owner was so warm and welcoming. Just wanted a snack and got ground beef sambusa and mango juice on ice (these two things together were perfect) and a lamb gyro. Everything was seasoned and so flavorful and fresh, can’t believe Ive never been here. Im always trying to find lunch spots and this is a great one.

Hooyo’s is a MUST TRY in Omaha. It is absolutely delicious. The owner and his family are so kind and welcoming. The owner treated us so amazingly and is very generous in his service, he gave us an extra pitcher of the juice when we hadn’t even finished the first. We felt so welcomed despite not being from their culture. Everything we ate or drank was so good and seasoned perfectly and had huge portions. I ordered the goat and rice and I will definitely come back to try another dish from there sometime. The restaurant is so beautiful and clean as well. If you’re in Omaha and you’ve never had Somalian food, this is 100% the place to go.

I just ate at Hooyo’s Kitchen here in Omaha, and I was blown away by how good the food was. Their ugali and goat meat combo is honestly the best I’ve had in the U.S. — it tasted exactly like home. The ugali was perfect in texture, and the goat meat was tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right, just the way we enjoy it back in Kenya.
The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was warm, and the whole experience made me feel like I had been transported straight back to an authentic Kenyan kitchen. If you’re East African or simply love good, soulful food, this place is a must-try.

10/10 best food ever !!! The owner Hasan and his grandson are amazing and so , SO nice and accommodating!!! Must try place in Nebraska , the best food I have ever tasted!!!! They gave complimentary mango juice and a cultural tea to all 4 of us. Food was spectacular !!!

New Year’s Day I reader from Hooyo kitchen when I say that was my first time eating there food I had to call the store to tell them how delicious the goat in rice was plated perfect cook with to much love I had them smiling from ear to ear I’m saying to ya’ll if you want great food in it’s fresh in delicious you have to try hooyo kitchen % great taste the way it’s cook prepared I’ll eat there anytime thanks for a great meal on new years I really appreciate

I recently visited this restaurant in Omaha, and I was truly impressed. The owner was incredibly humble, generous, and positive, which added to the overall great experience. The food was absolutely delicious! I’ve had Somali food in Minneapolis before, but this place stands out as exceptional. The service was excellent, the atmosphere welcoming, and the dishes were flavorful. I ordered the goat meat with spaghetti and rice, and was given bone marrow soup to try all of which were outstanding. Highly recommend!
