Stopped by today and grabbed their daily special — buy 2 chopped beef sandwiches, get the 3rd free — and honestly, the deal is unbelievable. Not only is it affordable, but they load these sandwiches up with a huge, generous portion of chopped beef. No skimping at all.
Each sandwich came with its own wrapped jalapeño and pickles, plus their house BBQ sauce on the side. The beef was tender, smoky, and flavorful, and the toasted bun had the perfect crunch. The jalapeño gave it a great kick, and the pickles balanced everything out.
For the price, the portion, and the quality, this spot seriously over-delivers. If you’re craving good BBQ without breaking the bank, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Great BBQ and great service! The food is well seasoned, the brisket is juicy, and the ribs just fall off the bone. The sausage is made in-house and is delicious!! I had the potato salad and coleslaw for my sides. They were great as well, although I do prefer my potato salad to be prepared with eggs and a dash of celery salt.

I spent $25.69 on Friday, December 12, 2025 for 2 Ribs, 3 Small Slices of Brisket, a Small Side of Potato Salad, a Small side of Beans, 2 slices of bread and a Coke. The brisket and ribs lacked any BBQ taste or smoke flavor. The brisket had no flavor and definitely needed the BBQ sauce that came in the condiment cup to remotely taste like BBQ. The ribs already had a slight coating of BBQ sauce to try and taste like BBQ. The portions on the side of Bean and Potato Salad were extremely small and amounted to about 3 spoons each. They were smaller than a standard ice-cream scoop in serving size. The portions were so small if you were dieting it would not be considered cheating almost like a Kids Meal. The 2 white cups in the photo are smaller than a 4 ounce cup that some restaurants give for condiments and in this case this is the potato salad and beans. I have never seen styrofoam containers this small. The BBQ sauce is in a standard clear condiment container. You can see how it compares to the sides cup which may have been 4 ounce side cups. Ironically several people came in and ordered FISH plates but no BBQ while I dined. The dining area is small so you can hear everything including what people ordered. On a positive note the lady taking orders at the counter was pleasant.

I found it to be a tad bit expensive for a late lunch. sliced brisket sandwich with three slices of delicious brisket and a tea for $19.
Place was clean and service was great.
They’re really on to something with this location, building and I’ll probably go back again to see if maybe they were just skimping this visit.

We loved the food at Hoot’s! The staff was very helpful and Anthony, the Manager was awesome, too! The ribs fell off the bone, brisket was tender and juicy, the smoked sausage was delicious! The sides we had of potato salad and green beans were great as well. We dined in but we also ordered food to go for our family. We’ll be going back very soon!

Not too salty and they give you a lot of food! It is kinda hot inside tho..other than that everything is good far as the meat but the bbq sauce taste like it has too many spices in it you can literally see all the spices and the potato salad taste really sweet! As if sugar was put into it…

I’ve lived in Texas for 13 years, and this is the best brisket I’ve ever had! Sometimes brisket can be a little tough, but not here. So tender it just melts in your mouth. The flavor is out of this world. My mom didn’t even want to put the bbq sauce on it. I grew up in Memphis, so I’m a bit of a pork ribs snob. These ribs are the best I’ve had outside of Memphis. The glaze is phenomenal. Juice was literally dripping off the bone. The mac-n-cheese was super cheesy. The slaw was delicious. The potato salad was smooth and flavorful. All the sides tasted homemade and had that unique taste to them. I can’t wait to come back and try the cobbler. I’d eat a shoe if it came out of this kitchen!
I’d also like to note that the customer service was fantastic. The young lady that took our order and served our food was very helpful and sweet. The manager checked in on us and engaged us in conversation. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Alright- we aren’t native Texans. Yall have some PORTIONS down there. Food was fantastic, server (Melissa? I forget, sorry!) was on top of everything. Good ribs, brisket, burgers, and the baked potato holy smokes. Next time I’m back in Tex we’ll see y’all again!

Took my brother in law to try his first bbq. Was looking for something near by and wasn’t too expensive like most bbq places.
This place was delicious. Fresh, well seasoned on the brisket and pork ribs. As well at the fried shrimp, sausage and the side were all on point! Definitely will be coming back

Found this gem today!! My wife and I were hungry for some bbq and decided to give them a try! Did not disappoint!! I had a turkey sandwich on a jalapeño bun and my wife had a brisket sandwich!! The potato salad was awesome. My wife’s green beans were great as well!! Without a doubt, we will be back!!
