I visited the Hooters in Hickory on 6/18/25 around 10:30 PM, and had a great experience! The service was top-notch—Ashley was super kind and went out of her way to help me redeem my free appetizer reward, even though it wasn’t showing up in the app (Hooters, please fix that issue when rewards come through email!).
The manager was also very kind and helpful, which added to the positive vibe of the night.
I ordered the Texas Style Quesadillas, and wow—they were absolutely delicious. Great flavor, fresh, and just the right amount of spice.
Great vibes, great staff, and solid food. I’ll definitely be back to this location!

0 STARS. For a company known for their servers, ours could’ve at least smiled more than when she told us to have a good night. Out of uniform, gave attitude when kindly asked to repeat herself, clearly hates working here. We waited an hour for food. On top of that. my friend and I were half way done eating before my boyfriend even got his food. Food was poor. Best worker they had was the bus boy.

I went to this restaurant last night and had a horrible experience from start to finish.
It took a long time just to be seated. Once we were finally sat, our server acknowledged us and said she would be back, but after waiting an extended amount of time, she never returned. Two different waitresses came by our table to ask if we had been helped, and we explained that we already had a server and were assuming she would come back.
After waiting even longer, I had to ask another server if she could take our order because we were only stopping for a quick meal and wanted to get back on the road. Our server was covering the bar area as well as tables inside and outside the bar. The restaurant didn’t appear very busy, especially considering once our order was finally placed, the food came out quickly.
The food itself was disappointing. My boyfriend ordered curly fries, but they were broken up, undercooked, and didn’t resemble curly fries at all. I ordered my burger well done, but it came out medium well. At that point, after waiting so long, we just wanted to eat and leave.
The service was extremely poor, but I was still willing to leave a tip because I don’t like dining somewhere and leaving nothing, even when the experience is bad. I’ve eaten at this location many times before, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I will not be returning.
When it came time to pay, I needed to use Apple Pay, so I walked to the bar with the waitress. My card was accidentally swiped for someone else’s bill, which I immediately pointed out. The manager was called to issue a refund. I even told the waitress she could keep the charge since I planned to leave at least a $5 tip anyway. She responded by saying “that was fine because she wasn’t expecting a tip anyways”, which only confirmed that she did not put effort into serving us.
The manager showed very little concern, offered no apology, and acted as though the situation wasn’t an issue. I am now left with multiple pending transactions on my Apple Pay and have to wait for them to process.
I am extremely disappointed with how this entire situation was handled. The server’s name was Ashley. While I understand she may have had a lot of tables, she should not have been assigned more than she could handle, especially while also running the bar, when there were other servers available. To top it off, we asked for a sweet tea to go and were given unsweetened tea instead.
Nothing went right last night, and the overall service and management at this location were unacceptable.

The best customer service I’ve had from a Hooters, ever. The manager was on the spot for everything making the experience more enjoyable. I think the place could have been a bit cleaner for sure. The dining room was good, but if this wall by the bar looks the way it did, how does the rest of the kitchen look?

This is my first time dining here and I’ve heard so much about it for years. I must say the food really impressed me so much. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and lifted my spirits. I love the energy of the Hooters girls and they’re so pleasing to watch. We even got to watch how they celebrate one of the customers’ birthday and it was a lovely cheer and game. Excellent! I went home with a smile on my face. I look forward to visiting Hooters again.

Ordered online takeout last night from the Hickory location. It was close to the hotel we were staying at. The wings were really gross. I tried 1 of each. Neither of us understood how hot wings and naked wings should taste so bad. The mild hot sauce had two textures. It was almost like it was mixed with peanut butter. I was actually concerned about it and couldn’t dip into it a second time. Both sauces tasted odd. We ordered two orders of onion rings and there didn’t actually seem to be any onion in them. Just breading. We went to bed hungry and wasted close to $60.

I would give it a ZERO. My daughter went there on Sunday nite, she left her wallet on the table and called back when she discovered it missing they told her it wasn’t there. Monday morning called back and talked to the manager who still told her no wallet was left. I went by in person and talked to the manager who still denied it being left. She called back and wanted to see security cameras but they told her they couldn’t do that. So she told them she would have the police to review the cameras. THEN THEY CALLED HER BACK AND “ FOUND” the wallet after she told them she was going to have the police involved. Never going back!!!!

Looking for a place to wind down after a long day. Big mistake stopping at this place. This place is run down. They served a very poor salad with iceberg lettuce (no one does that anymore) and no silverware but the beer is cold. Server lacked personality. I won’t be back and I don’t recommend this place.

So disappointing, I know I can go anywhere for wings but always go to Hooters they have the best wings. They change their sauce and it’s absolutely horrible. The waitress tried her best to make everything right. Without the original wing sauce no reason to come back.
