Went there from Indianapolis after hearing some positive reviews. However, my experience was not that much pleasant. The food tasted good as typical Thai restaurant we have in Indianapolis nothing special. The decor was interesting as the name suggests, it has IU themed decor. The restaurant is in basement and to use the restroom you have to go upstairs through another store! The service was okay. Also, We were only two people and they added 20% gratuity charge to our bill which came as a surprise as we did not see that written anywhere in the menu!

My daughter and I stopped in for a valentine’s lunch and we had a lovely time. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The entire restaurant was even decorated for Valentine’s which made it very fun. The staff was friendly, can’t wait to go back and try something different.

I didn’t think it would be possible for the food to be half as good as the service, and I was pleasantly surprised!! We ordered the Tom Kah, Thai Dumplings, Chicken Satay, and Chicken Pad Thai. Everything came in large portions and tasted amazing! Best Thai we’ve ever had, and we’ve had a lot. It’s my fiance’s favorite cuisine. Outstanding service and experience.

The FOOD was absolutely delicious! Very fresh and lots of flavor!
We shared the spring rolls with chicken, the Thai dumplings and the mango sticky rice for dessert and I had the Mango Curry with Chicken + Shrimp chef special with fried rice. Huge entree portions, so I took some home for lunch tomorrow!
The place is 110% DECKED OUT in IU memorabilia which is kind of distracting and isn’t my thing and the seating was Not comfortable for a long, drawn out dinner.. BUT! I would consider takeout next time (because there absolutely will be a next time!)

This was a take out order. The order process through the restaurant website wa quick and easy. The pickup time somehow came thru as the time I ordered. The text notification was good and told me when pickup time was. Parking was a little walk but the food was worth it.

What an absolutely lovely meal we had here today. We order the Thai dumplings for an appetizer and they arrived at the table quickly along with some rice chips. Both were very good. For our entrees we ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and the Duck Red Curry. Again both were delicious and the portion size was more than adequate. For dessert we shared a piece of delicious cheesecake that came with strawberry drizzle and whipped cream.
I highly recommend eating here and we will definitely be back regularly. I’ve found my new favorite Thai restaurant.

Awesome ambiance. You can really feel the Hoosier pride. The food was the best I’ve ever had outside of Thailand. The Hoosier chicken is a must. My wife’s beef pad thai was excellent and my daughter’s fried rice was deliciously addicting. The tom yum soup was as authentic as you can get and Miss Ruedee was the sweetest! Visited Nashville for my wife’s bday and Miss Ruedee made us feel like family friends. Ka poon ca!

I’ve eaten here three times over the last two weeks, and I’m almost completely happy with each visit. The flavor of each dish is fantastic, but every time I order “thai hot,” I get a wildly different level of spice. I asked for the highest heat level and at first, I received it, but not since then. Otherwise great place to go!

We walked down stairs into the subterranean dining room and were quickly greeted and seated. We snagged a booth and thumbed through the large menu. I noted an entire page of gluten-free dishes.
We ordered:
#26 – The Cashew Nuts
#20 – Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles)
I was shocked when our food arrived in well under five minutes. I had to do a double-take!
Now, we are lucky to have many Thai restaurants in Indianapolis; and I’ve been to several of them. In fact, my favorite restaurant in the city is Baan Thai Bistro, an amazing Thai spot. So understand that my basis for comparison is large and I’m tougher to impress with Thai food.
That being said, both dishes came out hot and were nicely flavorful. I would put them on par with some Thai restaurants in Indy. I think local patrons will enjoy having access to authentic Thai cuisine.
I found the veggies in the Drunken Noodles to lack some color and vibrancy. As I made my way to the inner noodles they were slightly undercooked and chewy. I wondered if perhaps their quick arrival played a part.
At $31, pricing was right in line with what I’ve seen elsewhere. It was the same for both lunch and dinner.

Great Thai food. Similar to Siam House is Bloomington. Streamlined menu. Happy to have this option in the Nashville area. Restaurant is small but has more seating that one would expect. This location is an old Nashville spot that has seen a few restaurants over the years. Decore is inherited and will please the IU fans. Elevator makes it accessible for those who cannot manage the front stairs. Head into the above restaurant for elevator to left of entry. Thai Hoosier shares restaurant room in the country shop as well.
