Our first official meal on our mini honeymoon and it did not disappoint! Fish and chips was fabulous. Make sure to try the hard cider (many delicious flavors). Cool spot with great views, nice staff, and QUICK service! Highly recommend to make this a stop if you can.

We visited Hoop’s in September based on the Google reviews and had lunch there two days in a row because it was such a great experience! The food was delicious – my wife loved the fried Whitefish while I liked the grilled/blackened – and the atmosphere was great. We spoke with Hoop himself who had been out at 430am catching what he was cooking for us – pretty cool to see this family operation! The dockside location only adds to the character and experience. Go eat here!

Came upon this place by happenstance of a remembered google search and a desire for fish for lunch.
They only have three options and we chose Lake Superior whitefish grilled with rice. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
The eating location is a short pier with shelter should you need it.
I would definitely return.

We had already eaten dinner somewhere else and happened upon this place. We heard the live music and were intrigued! We decided that we were still hungry enough to try a fish & fries basket and we are so glad we did!! It was super yummy!! We loved the atmosphere and wished we ended up here for actual dinner instead!! Service was fast. Only putting that the noise level was loud because of the live music, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and it was ultimately what guided us to the area!!

Amazing. We love West Coast fish and chips (cod) but this ultra-fresh, Lake Superior white fish is FANTASTIC. Quick, tasty and not laden with grease. Can’t beat the service, food or view! (Note- not easily wheelchair accessible due to gravel driveway leading to service and eating areas)

I was passing through at end of June and wanted to try the fish and chips. It was good fresh fish. I do prefer a beer batter though and the tarter sauce wasn’t the flavorful. I should have maybe tried the jalapeno one but I didn’t grab it and took the food to go. But if you’re eating there (or drinking – they offer beer and wine) you can’t beat the view.

I thought this place was awesome last summer when I had their fish and chips. Now they have blackened white fish! The perfect place to experience while in Bayfield. It’s on the water and the fish couldn’t get any fresher.
