First time in New Orleans and we happened upon this restaurant. The shrimp poor boy and crawfish pie were delightful. We also had a side of corn nuggets that were a fabulous addition! I think that was my favorite part of the meal! The restaurant was very clean and the staff were great as well. We highly recommend Hooks!

There is a great selections of Items on the menu. We ordered Seafood platters that came with two huge fillets of fish. And Fried Shrimp. It was definitely decent portions. You had a choice of fries or rice as a side and a slice of bread. I had leftovers. It was really good and the price was right for the amount of food. This place also had desert options. There’s seating for groups. And it is kid friendly. Nice location and great customer service.

Its right off Claiborne parking is anywhere in the neighborhood you can find.
Ordering is kinda chaotic and the energy in the spot that day was hectic. Several interesting characters stumbled in the spot either begging for money or getting into arguments with the staff. If you grew up going to spots like this its not a big deal.
The food was pretty good. The fried tenders and fried okra were perfect. We brought friends who reside out of the country and they finished both po-boys before we left.
If Im in the area of that part of the city again I’ll drop in again

Decided to stop cuz of the fish plate sign. Food was okay for a late nite snack, service was slow. But heard from others inside that the West Bank location is faster and food is better

The food is great. The only problem here is there is no restroom. They do not want you to use their restroom. I was told it was out of order and there’s also a sign on the door that says out of order. I came about two weeks ago and it’s the same today. Out of order. The guy told me to go down the road. That’s a big red flag for me. So if you’re planning to come here wash your hands and use the restroom before you come.

Ordered shrimp poboy with a side of potato wedges. Also got jalapeño poppers, hush puppies, fried okra, and crawfish pie. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were generous. The employee also verified that their meats were halal, but I didn’t order a meat containing dish. Will come here again if I revisit NOLA.

The food is SOLID and it’s open late. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because there is no atmosphere, it’s a take out spot. I love this place. I have been multiple times and I would go again. You should go.

Clean restaurant prices are a little reasonable order the fish plate special for 5.79$ now peoplenin line the wait was a little excessive maybe 10 to 15 min after ordering!

Soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mo with great customer service. This is the newest location for Hooks on Claiborne. The food is good and always fresh. Very clean restrooms and cold AC. I ordered the fish & shrimp platter everything was hot and well season and delicious.
