First time coming to Hooked and we’ll be back! Nice variety of seafood choices grilled or fried, salads, steamers, tacos & plates. The clam chowder was on point, full of fresh clams and perfectly cooked potatoes & just the right spices. They were out of the red snapper but the blackened swordfish was amazing, huge portion served on a bed of rice and with a fresh salad. Also ordered the lobster roll served with fries. Large chunks of lobster on a fresh buttered roll and a side of dipping butter. Different from the typical lobster filling made with mayonnaise but just as good. The fries were slightly well done but still good. We finished off our meal with an order of beignets served warm with strawberry and chocolate dipping sauces. The service was friendly & welcoming, just two people running the show but enough for a Friday afternoon. Perfect wait time between the soup and meal, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Hooked is a casual restaurant that looks like it was formerly a quick food place with a counter but signs clearly tell you to be seated so you can be served. Paper plates and plastic dinnerware keep it casual but the food is definitely not fast food!

I tried this gem of a place a couple of months ago and it has been my guilty pleasure since especially since I am HUGE cod lover. I love the cod and the tartar sauce. The service was amazing, I can remember her name I believe she was the owner or manager but she constantly checked on my table asking if there was anything else we needed. I go once a week and may go today!

Hooked Seafood just opened in our area and we decided to try it out for lunch yesterday. It’s very rare for this area to get a new restaurant that’s actually decent, especially a seafood restaurant, and we already have High Tide in the area which is pretty good and sets a high standard.
Our server was Aleia, who was friendly. However, everyone seemed quite rushed and overwhelmed, so maybe they’re still working out the kinks here, not too sure. The atmosphere was well-decorated and casual, but was kind of confusing. You order at the counter for to-go but get waited on if you sit down at the booths.
The food was… mediocre at best. The Grilled Shrimp Skewers were decently good, but the cocktail sauce was not good. It was chunky like Marinara Sauce. The entrees were also nothing spectacular. The fish didn’t taste very fresh, and our dishes took forever to come out.
I’m glad we gave them a change but I don’t think we’ll be coming back anytime soon. Everything was underwhelming, especially the food.

Probably the best fish n chips I’ve had in town. The butter snapper rice dinner was my second favorite thing. I love how they use jasmine rice for their meals. It’s a fast casual seafood spot, easy to get in and out. Very friendly staff and prices are very reasonable for seafood. It’s a simple menu and the items will make every Arizona seafood lover happy. Oh and the fried Oreos are the best I’ve everrrr had.

Hooked is a place you’ll want to sail into. The food is fresh and delicious. Nicole was AWESOME as our server. I had the fish and chips, and it was by far the best I’ve found in the valley. Don’t miss your chances to sail into an awesome place to catch your own fresh fish dinner.

If you love fried food, this could easily be a 4 or better, bit it was just too much fried food for me. It’s a 1st come 1st served restaurant so no reservations, but we got a table right away on a Wednesday evening. Ceviche appitizer wasn’t bad but the chips they served were old and stale. The fish on the combo was a nice portion and tasted good. I also really liked the fried shrimp and fried calamari (plenty on the comb), but although the onion rings tasted ok, they were kind of greasy. It’s just too much fried food for my system.

My husband and I finally made it in today. Oh my gosh! Everything was so good. We were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and the friendly greeting upon entering. We ordered the ceviche appetizer as my husband loves good ceviche. It was amazing!! We also had the fish and chips and shrimp and chips and they were both so good. Everything tastes so fresh and the portions are way more than we could eat. I substituted the fries for the jasmine rice and let me tell you, I am so glad I did. The service was superb, which is so refreshing nowadays as its hard to find. I am so sorry I didnt catch the gals name and I wish I had We had the pleasure of meeting Ryan, the owner and chatting with him a bit, very nice guy. We begged him to expand to Queen Creek I cant wait to return and try other dishes there as I am sure they won’t disappoint. If you haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, you seriously need to make it a priority you won’t regret it!

We had the shrimp and chips and salmon plate. It was outstanding. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. We went for an early dinner around 4:15 and glad we did. Within a half hour all the tables were full.
