GREAT POKE!!! Warm scoops of rice, fresh & spicy poke! Fair warning: Prices are not listed in advance. Also, this is the most popular truck in the lot, so they tend to sell out of food earlier than closing. But they claimed to serve fresh fish, so that makes sense. And from everything I’ve eaten nearby, it is some of the best tasting Poke!

I ordered calamari and ahi poke on Christmas 2025, all the prices are taped, I get it, no one wants to work on Christmas. The calamari was 20 dollars, which is over prices but since again it’s Christmas. When I opened the box I was shocked, there was like 7 rings and 3 tentacles. And the rest of the box is all just potatoe fries. Honestly fries are pretty good, but I did not pay 20 for fries

Good food, great vibe… would like to have had more lemon grass flavor in the shrimp marinade. Salad was flavor town. Fried calamari and fries was good. Great crunch

Excellent spicy poke, generous portions, friendly service, and a cute food truck park. Check it out… it’s walking distance to many resorts near by.

Last night they were out of poke so we ordered the Thai shrimp and fish tacos.
Shrimp were served shell on and were delicious.
The fish tacos had no flavor at all, I don’t even know how that is possible.

Outside of a dish having no flavor, the oddest thing was, the second that the woman taking orders saw that I didn’t tip last night, her attitude completely changed. No smile, she became agitated and treated me like a bum.

If I’m paying for food from a food truck or any establishment that doesn’t provide service and just hands me food, I don’t tip.

Their prices are very close to a brick and mortar’s but they don’t provide any service to warrant a tip, especially with that attitude.

Tonight I went back and ordered two poke bowls, one regular and one spicy.
Minimal flavor again but I was able to get the same attitude!
When I asked the woman what the sauce was in my order, she replied “it’s in there” I asked again and she walked away.
The chef noticed and replied “It’s soy sauce”, it wasn’t soy sauce. At least he was nice but I will never go back.

Sad thing is, they know people come to Hawaii for poke and will order it no matter what and with minimal food options in this area, I doubt they will change anything.

Great poke and mahi burger was best we had on the island.

Edit: Don’t believe the one star reviews. People suck.

Food truck park in Kaanapali. Fast, fresh and some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced and perfect size for two ‘old chicks’. Only complaint was the picnic table areas, they are covered but dirty and flys buzzing your meal. That’s not Hooked’s responsibility but it did bring the atmosphere score down…

Everyone considers themselves the experts on “food”…I am not by no means. The traditional Poke Bowl is definitely fresh on the ahi side of things, which is complimented by a generous mix of garlic and sesame, including lengthy onion strips mixed into the Ahi. The white rice was of course very consistent and not hard at all; easily mix to enjoy! The flavors were not over the top empowering as had hoped, but the fresh quality cannot be stated enough.

Fish & Chips was a long miss from quality as the fish was spongy and the batter was undercooked….one of the more unpleasant eats I am afraid, even if you have never had such a dish before.

Service was average, but the food time was enjoyable and we were eating before other people that ordered at other food trucks.

DISCLAIMER: Again, be ready to pay Maui prices and don’t be shocked when you see them. You will spend hours trying to find a “cheaper option” to no avail….pick places by their reviews, not the pricing in my opinion.

Tonight, we tried the food truck *Hooked* and ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos. Let me tell you—they weren’t just good. They were *by far* the best fish tacos we’ve ever had!

The tacos were loaded with huge, perfectly grilled chunks of mahi-mahi, fresh sprouts, cilantro, and mango. Every bite was bursting with flavor. They also came with chips and guacamole, which were great, but honestly, the tacos stole the show.

If you’re a fish taco fan, this spot is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!

Asked for what was great and got a rec for poke. It was so super fresh and flavorful!! The woman who took my order was fast and friendly – and said she’d just made the poke herself about an hour ago.

It is a substantial amount of food – don’t let the half size container throw you off!

For those thinking that this is overpriced, not sure where that is coming from. If you go buy sashimi grade tuna at a fish market, it’s $38-45/lb. And there’s easily 8 ounces of tuna in each plate, along with rice, fresh greens and seaweed salad. I felt that the pike was the market price – and fair.
