Rosa was extremely professional and personable. She explained everything to me as far as the menu and how to order since this was my first time. We didn’t even have to call her for refills on anything because she came back and checked on us periodically. I definitely Think Rosa should win this competition, hands-down!

I had the catfish basket. The fish was fried and little too dark and the fish filets were very thin. The sweet potato waffles were delicious and the rum punch was satisfying. Overall, the food was seasoned well.

For starters I came to this restaurant with a party of 7 when we walk in we were NOT greeted. We stood at the front for a good 7 minutes waiting to be seated. I was unsure why because the restaurant was NOT busy at all ! Finally we get seat then it took another 5 minutes before the server came over to get our drink order. We all ordered AYCE and I will say the food was good but the server wasn’t she was not very attentive never refilled our drinks I feel like that 18% gratuity being added make the servers feel they don’t have to do any work because they already know they will at least get 18%.

Johana was our waitress on 2/13/26 & She was very kind & very attentive to refilling our drinks & just overall on top of everything. This is our 3rd time eating at Hook & reel, this was just a different location for us & it was by far the best! My hubby & I ordered coconut shrimp which was FIRE!! & We both ordered the “Reel Catch” seafood boil, also had 2 delicious drinks Absolutely amazing, we will be back!!

I went here with some of my family and we were very happy about our whole experience here. We didn’t have to wait long for a table and we were greeted very quickly. Our server’s name was Dylaney, she was amazing! Very welcoming, attentive and caring for our needs throughout the meal! She answered all our questions well and gave us very good recommendations on the food, which was delicious! We will definitely be coming back here, not only just for the food but mostly because the service we received was excellent! The staff and our server especially made us feel welcome and that we had to come back in the future.
