I walked in for take out. The restaurant front entrance look as it over due for some cleaning especially dusting. I proceeded to order the regular 8piece wing and French fries.The service was good, the young lady greeted me and took my order and answered my questions to her best ability. Now the chicken wings & French fries were flavorful after I pulled the hairy skin off.

Good vibes at Hook & Reel! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was good. I got the fried shrimp personally. I thought the size of the shrimps were good size and had a nice crispy bite! I tried the catfish, which I thought was also very good. They do a really good just with the frying. Some places you go and there are burnt pieces, that’s not the case here. We also got the sangria and it was pretty good too. There also a lot of parking, so that made it easy to get in and out. Price wise you won’t break the bank here. Overall I give Hook & Reel a 3 out of 5.

My first visit to Hook and Reel was about 2 years ago. The place was great, and I was excited to revisit it, unfortunately I left truly not impressed and truthfully embarrassed. I invited a friend to dinner and emphasized on how great the place was. The customer service was outstanding we even had a young lady who was training. We ordered appetizers which came right out and were great! We ordered our main course which was basically a bag of oil and overcooked food! I was so disappointed!! I then realized my entire table was covered in oil, not just a little spillage but the entire table as if someone just came and dumped vegetable oil. The staff was very apologetic although the check wasn’t adjusted (I would have offered as a manager). I wouldn’t recommend this, and I won’t be back. I am hopeful that maybe it’s only this location, but we will see if I’m willing to try another location. Just be prepared.

Food was great! Had it delivered, so maybe not the ideal situation or the way it was intended to be served. We ordered hush puppies, seafood rice, a fried fish basket with sweet potato fries, and an order of scallops in garlic butter. The seafood rice was a bit too greasy, but I guess that makes it extra yummy and I would order a different sauce with the scallops. Again, it was all very good, but not necessarily over-the-top amazing.

I’ve been recommended this place a couple of times and finally got a chance to go. Overall everything was pretty good but the food has a lot of oil sitting on the bottom of the bag. We got the family package and there was A LOT of food in there that makes it worth it. The pricing is reasonable. I would come back but not my top choice.

My wife and I love seafood and this chain has become our go-to place when we don’t want to make our own . I brought her here for the Mother’s Day weekend and wasn’t disappointed. It was my first time at this location but her second and I can say the service ambiance and food were just as enjoyable as the one in Union. The only difference I can see is that the interior is a bit smaller as it isn’t a freestanding building but in a strip mall retail location.

Went here to celebrate my Birthday, I really enjoyed my seafood boil bag. Everything was smoking hot… Hotter than some of the other restaurants that I’ve tried like this. The waitress was very attentive. The decor was nice… I think This Hook and Reel will be my go to now.
