Perfectly Placed! [INSIDE the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel, especially with Seattle’s usually “wet” weather. ]
Nice location to start the day + a great selection for breakfast. But, brace yourself – the portions are not for the light hearted – you can honestly “share” a meal (and drink the morning away. )
Beautiful place to enjoy the atmosphere, waterfront scene, a good cup of coffee AND morning cocktail [or cocktails!]
If you happen upon Jake to be your “service” agent… you are in luck. Jake adds to the ambiance and charm of Hook & Plow (you’re in attentive and capable hands; nothing will be amiss. )
Enjoy “your” time, yummy food and “space” while there… it is cozy & comfy at the Hook & Plow.

During our stay at the Marriott Seattle, we were thrilled to find that Hook and Plow is conveniently attached to the hotel, perfect for a hearty breakfast before heading to the port for our cruise.

The selection was fantastic. We enjoyed fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, juicy breakfast sausages, and tender shredded chicken. There were golden breakfast potatoes with a light crunch, perfectly browned French toast (with warm syrup and butter balls ready to melt on top), and even a flavourful egg white frittata packed with veggies. The buffet also offered a fresh fruit station with berries and pineapple, plus plenty of toppings like shredded cheese, green onions, and whipped butter for customizing our plates. Everything was hot, fresh, and beautifully presented.

What really made the meal unforgettable was the service. Our server Angelo deserves a huge shout-out, he was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect. From coffee refills to checking that we had everything we needed, Angelo went above and beyond and made us feel like valued guests.

If you’re staying at the Marriott or simply looking for a delicious breakfast spot near the Seattle waterfront, Hook and Plow is a must. Great food, top notch service, and the convenience of being right inside the hotel earn it a solid five stars from us!

It was a great breakfast! It’s the hotel restaurant inside the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. We thought about ordering from the set menu, but decided that the buffet breakfast would be the better value. It was a good decision.

They had just about everything for even the pickiest eater. My favorite items were the fried home potatoes and crispy thick-cut bacon. We were both impressed with the crispy and tasty potatoes. My husband had to get a second helping. The pastries were also very good, as well as the coffee.

The service was great. Our cups were never empty. The coffee was topped off when needed. They checked on us often. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back if ever in the area again.

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, but the service was a bit slow, particularly with refills. I also noticed some fruit bugs in the raspberries, which I mentioned to the manager. She apologized, but it might be a good idea to ensure the fruits are washed thoroughly.

We were hesitant to eat here because it’s at the hotel and hotel food is usually meh. BUT was I wrong! We had breakfast here twice and both times it was amazing. (Hint- Ask for Hank. He’s the best server!) The bacon and sausage were cooked an seasoned perfectly (we like a good crispy bacon slice). The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside- just right. The Brioche FrenchToast was amazing! Like eating dessert for breakfast. We ordered a custom omelette and it was cooked to perfection!

Great food and staff. Worth every penny.

I was staying at the hotel and had breakfast here one morning. I ordered the corned beef and hash because I was delighted to learn they made their corned beef in house. It was delicious. Service was fantastic as well. The view from the table was lovely and it was a weekday so it was pretty quiet.

The staff were amazing. So friendly and attentive. They made the time to chat with us and make us feel at home. They answered all of our menu questions with precision.

The food. I had the steak my wife had the tortellini. I asked for rare to blue and I got what I asked for. The outer crust of the steak was perfectly charred while the inside remained cool and springing the peppercorn sauce added a new depth of flavor and spices to the already perfectly seasoned steak. Every bite melted perfectly in my mouth creating a wonderful eating experience. The fries were a perfect gold hue with a fluffy inside and a crispy outside. No mushyness at all. The tortellini sauce was rich and flavorful with a generous helping of beef and cheese inside every bite I can not say enough good things for this restaurant. To be able to enjoy good simple food was a welcomed treat after dealing with the overly complicated dishes of other places near by. This is dining done right.

I had breakfast here twice during my stay. The first time I ordered off the menu, and the second time, I enjoyed the buffet. Both would be good choices, in my opinion.
Both times, the staff were all friendly, accommodating, and professional. The menu includes a non-pork sausage option and fresh fruit replacements as well.
Everyone I encountered during both visits was sincere and easy to converse with as a single diner.
The only negative is that their systems and procedures are a bit broken. The first day, I was put on the wait list (about 15 minutes both times) electronically and then was able to go still somewhere not so congested and waut fir a text notification. The second it was a paper list, which made me feel unsure as we all stood or sat in the hallway waiting for our names to be called. but it turned out fine
When I had finished my meal, I got up to get a piece of fresh fruit from the buffet to take with me and was planning to sit and finish my coffee before departing. However, a matrodee cleared my table. My waitress was not far behind when I returned to my table so I could pay and be on my may.
Overall, the restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast, and I would definitely return if I am ever back in the area.

About as 3 star as you can get. Overpriced. $23 for pancakes with a bitter something that is supposed to be compote, overripe berries, and an overworked and too cold cinnamon butter. The Canadian bacon was over cooked and I couldn’t get through it. Won’t be returning
