I just paid $22 for 5 pieces of chicken. I took one bite and knew something was wrong with the pickerel, fries undercooked, shrimp we not that large and barely had any coating. Highly disappointed. The chicken was do able.

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Made to order he said 20 minutes but it was done faster than that. We ordered 2 wing plates, 2 fried shrimp plates, and 2 drinks for about $63. Not bad for seafood and chicken wings in this economy. The owner and his adorable son were so nice. When they serve you that chicken in an aluminum tin with foil over top and hot sauce on the side, you know it’s a proper hood spot with great food. Get the jumbo shrimp for the extra $1 bc the regular ones were a tad small but that might just be me being greedy lol. Ate the other half of my food 3 hours later and the wings were still crispy. Definitely get the lemon pepper dust on whatever you order and the blue koolaid is so good nice and sweet with a little tart. Served with all the condiments without having to ask most restaurants are stingy with it.

Ordered the 20 piece large shrimp meal. comes with 20 shrimp 2 pieces of fish and fries. The shrimp first off were not large by any means Second they were cooked till hard by the guys 2 kids while he sat in the office. This is a fish market, so I was not expecting the 2 pieces of cod to be store bought frozen squared processed fish but whatever. The point is it was all over cooked and he knew it because i could hear his kid say to him while he was on the phone you said to fry it hard and he told them no that was the lady before me. Tells me on the phone not to worry he will replace it … I get there and he starts treating me like I am trying to steal from him . Avoid this rip off place at all costs.

This place was so good. I just moved to Michigan and haven’t had the best food since I’ve arrived. The two men working at this store told me to look up the reviews. I love how they didn’t pressure me to buy anything, they just let me decide for myself. They were all smiles from the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. I will definitely be back!!!

This place used to be Mike’s chicken. I haven’t been there in a couple of years. 2 weeks ago, I decided to stop by this restaurant, which I thought it was Mike’s chicken. I was looking at the menu and realized it had a whole new name called Hooks chicken. So as the new owner was speaking to me. I decided to continue with my order. I’m not going to lie! That fired chicken , shrimp, and onion rings were the bomb. I already had been back for a second time.

Fast service, fresh food cooked and seasoned perfectly..Kool Aid was fire too! Just hate that they charge extra to use your debit/credit card(which is illegal by the way) but the guy at the counter did look out!
