The service was phenomenal and the hostess was especially kind.
The food was so good and the portions are generous. I recommend a cup of seafood gumbo as it was perfect.
We liked the beer-battered rockfish and fries. Their burger is great quality.
It’s right by the water with a wharf nearby and a cool Octopus statue made by local artists. Our young kids had fun exploring the area.

A year later food is amazing tartar sauces great fish is fresh and french fries still crispy but soft in the middle and you cant go wrong with the great shrimp…yummm…but a “horrible” change to the cocktail sauce it looked like pasta sauce. Flavor was bad ketchup with relish and no horse radish. Hope this changes OR it might just be the last time my family eats there. Might be time to find another place to have seafood unfortunately. Without good cocktail,ketchup,tartar sauce its just deep fried food at this point that you can get anywhere. I hope this review reaches the head chef who keeps the recipes good.

First time in port Angeles and I decided to stop by here for a nice dinner. I sat down and I got the fish and chips which were pretty delicious, and the clam chowder is probably the best I ever had. Overall the staff were really nice and everyone had a great time at Hook and line.

I’m not sure how this place got 4.2 stars but I can tell you that after having gone there twice, they’ve had great service and great food both times. The portions were way more than enough and everything was so fresh!! The fish and chips were on point, lightly battered and with huge chunks of fish. The tarter sauce tasted homemade, so food. The fries were also delicious. The servers were great and the atmosphere was awesome. I’d go back a third time if I lived there!

When we arrived, they were very busy. They told us to be about a 20 minute wait and I thought that they would be 40 minutes early, but they seated us in less than 20 minutes. We had a very delicious Christmas salad and the Baja tacos. I highly recommend The Baja tacos the sauce company. The salmon was absolutely outstanding. I would eat here again.

I was looking for the best fish and chips in the area and this place was recommended to me. It did not disappoint. The fish and chips are some of the best I have ever had. Good sized pieces, well cooked, with a thin crispy batter and the tartar sauce was wonderful. We also tried the clam chowder and that too was great. It’s a thick chunky chowder loaded with flavor. So good! Staff were kind and attentive and food came out fast. I would visit again!

Overall a great experience. The food was GREAT. We had real calamari – not the awful frozen rings, but real, fresh squid. Cooked to perfection. The cod was also excellent and cooked perfectly. The staff were helpful and cheerful, without being pushy. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and this was well worth the money.
