Loved the food! We did not eat in but picked up food. Next time we will eat there. The fish tacos were great and my husband’s shrimp po-boy and cup of gumbo (gave him a large serving) he really, really enjoyed! One nice note- when my husband got back to car I noticed he did not have the sweet tea. When he went back in the lady was so gracious and along with the tea gave us a nice serving of delicious key lime pie!!! We definitely will return again in the future when we are back visiting. People check the place out, their days open and times. You will enjoy!

First time dining at the Hook, top quality & fresh catch of the day! We had the triple tail with “The Pass” sauce which was a butter garlic sauce with crab & shrimp! Definitely rich but not heavy where it weighs you down! Had the bread pudding for dessert & it’s the best I’ve had, definitely will be back!

Stopped by for the first time and we’re glad we did! The staff were very friendly, and the food was even better. Service was quick, and it’s definitely a spot worth stopping by every time we’re in the area.

I stopped in with my family for the first time today for lunch, and we have a new favorite restaurant!
Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, helpful, and kind. Southern hospitality at its finest. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.
I got the BBQ shrimp poboy and my husband got the blackened chicken & fried green tomato sandwich. We split them so we could each try both, and they were both delicious! The shrimp poboy had lots of shrimp, and both sandwiches had great flavor. We also both got the truffle fries which were so good! My daughter got the kids fried fish which also looked yummy and was a good portion size.
Also, the outdoor seating area is really cute! I’m excited to be back on this side of town once it’s cooler so we can enjoy out there.

We arrived for a late lunch for three. We were seated quickly. The restaurant was almost full with an additional large party in the back room. We ordered some of the truffle fries and they were really good. Twice fried, tasty and plentiful. We had po-boys, tacos and a salad. Overall the service was a little slow but the food was all very well presented, tasty and hot. The atmosphere is laid back and very much Gulf Coast casual. We will definitely be going back!

Having visited Hook Gulf Coast Cuisine several times and combining an average of all the experiences and various dishes I have tried, I can confidently say that I have always been impressed with the quality of seafood and ingredients used by Chef Corry. Service has always been 2nd to none and I would rival them against the best in the business. The atmosphere is relaxed with a downtown coastal feel. Always a clean facility and very friendly, inviting environment. I would highly recommend them to anyone I meet in my travels. The oysters rockefeller appetizer, while not traditional, is an absolute must have! Enjoy!

We popped in for a quick, late lunch and had a perfect experience. Friendly service, DELICIOUS food and fast! The house made blueberry white chocolate cheesecake was beyond decadent. Will be back soon!

We went to Hook for the first time today. I have been seeing all their tasty food on Facebook and had to try it. I got the tasso encrusted tripletail on cheddar cheese grits with a creole cream sauce. It was amazing! Julie had the blackened shrimp tacos and they were delicious too! Topped it off with a little bread pudding to take home. I will definitely be back!

The food was excellent. The oysters Rockefeller pasta was excellent—the oysters had a sweetness to them. The crawfish Monica was rich, but good, with excellent blackened shrimp. The wine recommendation was spot on, and the outdoor dining area is nice. The flies buzzing around are a definite problem—they are a distraction from an excellent meal.

We just recently moved to town. Our realtor told us about this place. Then, we found out that our neighbor is the owner (or one of the owners). We had to check this place out. Upon entering, the atmosphere was warm (on a cold, December night). The staff was friendly. The menu was mostly seafood (I mean, what do you expect? The name, and atmosphere says it all). However, they do have some other items on the menu that were not seafood.
Fast forward to the food: As a prior cook, I can tell they take pride in their food. The food placement on the plate was beautiful- well, at least for mine, it was excellent. The kids got a cute, little plate with their delicious food. Oh! And, let me back up to the fresh-baked bread… amaze-balls! Everything, I mean EVERYTHING was wonderful. Hats off to the chef, and the staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
