Had a group of 8 people, most ordering the Fish and Chips with Halibut. The fish came out really, well, ‘fishy’. Everyone noticed the smell was unusual but continued – not sure why. I sampled the fish and a fish taco, and neither tasted normal. Having eaten a lot of halibut, I don’t think it is supposed to stink. Doesn’t make sense where the overall quality seemed above average and the fries are the best I’ve ever had, seriously. I hope nobody gets sick. I understand their products are fresh, never frozen and I would like to hear an explanation.

We are on a 1 week getaway at our favourite resort and this absolutely lovely restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk staff. The customer service was outstanding, as was the food. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The calamari is deadly delicious, the salmon burger to die for and the spiced fries are simply addictive. We will definitely be back as this little gem. We biked from our campground. The lunch was delicious: We had BLTs, chicken caesar wrap, and a breakfast sandwich. The man at the bar came and took our order and was SO personable. His name was Rick or Ray- I’m embarrassed that I forgot, but he was so friendly.Everything was so much better than we expected from the name alone. We were thinking our only option would be pizza.

wow we just grabbed lunch here while working the farmers market next door at Salishan and we were so impressed! eve waffle fries are THE BEST (worth $8) and even House Salad is huge with gorgeous greens and the grilled chicken on it is super tender and flavorful. My husband got the Hawaiian Pizza and said it hit the spot. Thank You! We will definitely be back!

Always have THE best experience at Hook & Slice. The food is amazing, seriously one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Some other favorites are the sliders, poke bowl and BLT. Such a fun vibe and excellent service too, 100% worth giving this place a try!

The restaurant is under very poor management. The manager, Kennedy, was on the phone with a friend while the two employees worked. The employees spoke little English and they had to read instructions on how to make a bratwurst and what to put on it (mustard and sauerkraut). After quite a long wait, I asked if the food was ready as we were falling behind. They forgot to cook the fries and did not have the bun, so I got a bunless bratwurst. Kennedy finally got off her social phone call and commented “What do you expect? We can’t turn and burn. We aren’t fast food! We aren’t McDonalds!” Stunned by her rudeness, I asked her name. She said her name was Kennedy and she was the manager. She then added that I would not be able to complain about her attitude or the poor service because her mom and dad own the restaurant. She then slammed the window shut and walked away. Wow….good thing mommy and daddy have your entitled little back, princess! They must be so proud.
