My family and I visited on Saturday [1/03/2026] afternoon and had a fantastic experience! From the warm hospitality when we arrived, to the thoughtful recommendations and passionate explanation of the daily fresh-caught fish options everything was exceptional. Our server Nikki (I think that was her name) was knowledgeable about the menu, professional, cheerful, funny and truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The service and the food were outstanding. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers the total package these days, but Hook absolutely hits the mark!
We had the crab cakes and Oysters for the appetizer and for dinner the aged Steak, the Mediterranean Brazino, and the tuna sushi.
We will be back. Thank you.

We love going to Hook! We have visited a few times and have always received exceptional service. We recently went for our Anniversary, and Shelley was the best! We had amazing food, and the restaurant has a great ambiance for a romantic dinner. We had the Spicy Octopus Roll, the Dragon Roll (our favorite!), and the Seafood Bucatini. Highly recommend trying this place out for date night!

Date night with the hubby so we went to Hooks (1st time). Had reservations and we were seated immediately which was awesome. However the waitress was not the best. As hubby and i were talking we noticed other tables had bread baskets, we never got ours after about 30 minutes and actually ordered our dinner I asked another waitress if all tables get bread baskets and she said yes. After a few moments our waitress came out with the bread. We also had to ask for our own refills because she didnt notice the empty glasses the two times she came to make sure food was good. Id give her a break if the restaurant was busy but we were 1 of 4 tables and 3 servers. We were HER only table. Also between us and the table next to us we probably killed 10 bugs flying around

Food was amazing

We came here for my cousin’s baby shower. The event was well organized, clean, with lovely service, lovely decorations, and delicious food and desserts. I can imagine they are great for private events based on the experience we had. It was truly a fun time with nice food and even nicer views. Lovely!

Nautical environment, boats, water, dirt/mud road, and views. We tried Hook on Valentine’s Day (with reservations) were seated soon upon entry. The atmosphere and service were as expected. The menu had fewer choices than anticipated. More importantly, the food fell short of the reviews.

I had the seafood bucatini: deliciously creamy, good pasta, large shrimp…with maybe hints of other shell fish…nothing special really, but good though.
My husband’s “medium” steak was “well done” and lower quality than expected (quite thin too) we were surprised but chose not make a fuss. I wouldn’t recommend to leave home going to Hook as the main event, but if you’re boating or live in the area – stop in. Overall, it was a good night with decent food, great company and good service, but there are many better choices. Spent approx $160 with wine, meals for 2. Probably including the Valentine’s day tax,(lol).

Went for Valentines day on a recommendation by a friend. The location is actually great but the food was only ok. My fingerling potatoes was warmer then our ribeye steak and fish that we ordered. Somehow food came out slow for our table. Even the spinach artichoke appetizer took too long but it certainly was good. We had a 445pm reservation and the place was not packed yet. Our server was very nice and very attentive. Drove all the way to st claire shore’s from Canton too.

Made reservations for brunch at 12pm on Valentines day. The website says brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11-3pm. They also posted on Facebook about serving brunch on Valentines. When we arrived we were given a dinner menu. The waitress (who was very nice and did her job well) had no idea about brunch and had to go ask the kitchen. The kitchen said they are not setup for brunch and are only serving the dinner menu. We should have left but decided not to fuss and just order.

Food was decent but way overpriced. $20 for a basic double cheeseburger. $18 for a basic sushi roll. $75 with with 20% tip for the waitress for basic and disappointment.

I posted a comment on there Facebook post about the brunch, explaining there was no brunch and they deleted the comment. Unprofessional management, poor advertising, and way overpriced food. We will not be back.

This was are first time visiting Hook. We found it watching the news and gave it a try. Let me tell you it is amazing. The service from when we walked in to when we left was great. Everyone was welcoming and attentive. Our waitress made suggestions and checked on us and was there when ever we needed anything. Our table light went out and Chef Bobby was there to replace it. He was a great guy and talked with us for awhile. The food all I can say is it did not disappoint us. The filet steak melted in my mouth. The mushroom ravioli my wife had was the best she has ever had. I would highly recommend this place and thanks for a great dinner and experience.

Our party of six was so disappointed. The service was incredibly slow and the food was mediocre at best. Throughout the course of the meal the waitress returned to the table multiple times to inform us they were out of a beverage, entrees or salads. Three out of six meals were served lukewarm, one didn’t get to the table until everyone else was finished. The egg roll salad looked like a bag of shredded cabbage was dumped on the plate with a few fried wontons tossed on top. Absolutely not worth the price they charge. Our dirty plates were left in front of us until we left. The staff never acknowledged any of the inconvenient shortcomings and the manager showed little regard when it was brought to his attention. All of this and we were the only party in the dinning room!!!!! To add insult to injury we had to pay a 20% gratuity per their policy of a group of 6. Perhaps this place is run better in the summer, but I would definitely stay way after boating season, there are way too many other great restaurants around town that appreciate your patronage.
