Honorable Mention nails a concept that Portland has been missing: a high-end sports bar with genuinely good food and
great service. I ordered the 8oz petite beef tenderloin — cooked well and a quality cut. Had several drinks throughout
the evening and every one was solid.
But honestly, what stood out the most was the experience. The atmosphere strikes this perfect balance between upscale
dining and a relaxed sports bar where you can actually enjoy yourself. The staff was attentive without being
overbearing, which is harder to pull out than most places realize.
Portland has plenty of casual spots and plenty of fine dining, but very few places that blend both this well.
Honorable Mention does. Five stars — I’ll be back.

Honorable Mention easily impresses as an amazing new elevated sports lounge. Located inside the Benson hotel, the vibe is sophisticated and classy. The food was outstanding, and the whole experience felt a step above a typical sports bar. Great atmosphere, great service, and seriously good food. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Portland.

The owner was super friendly & welcoming, there was a tuns of the Portland’s “cool kids” type just hanging out.
