Overall, a decent place, but didn’t really “wow” us. The picked cucumbers were just okay. The gyoza were good and very meaty. The beef and tendon beef noodle soup was decent. The meat and tendon were both very tender and the noodles were very good. The soup was good, but we felt that it lacked deep flavor. Service was excellent and pricing was decent.

Beef noodle soup – The soup was good. And probably one of the best in Honolulu. But compared to the best beef noodle soup in Taiwan or some parts of world, it’s not top notch.
Popcorn chicken – The batter is very good. This one is legit.
Fried rice – I think they should not use shrimp but if they do, they should seared it better with garlic. It looks like plain cooked shrimp. Lack of delectable looks and taste.

Tender beef and springy noodles with crispy tofu and dumplings. Broth could be more flavorful and portions could be bigger for the price. If you think of meat as a garnish rather than the main course it is acceptable. —> FOOKI is still the best beef noodle soup restaurant on the island and I stand by that.

I am obsessed with their beef noodle lunch special. It was my first meal and my Waikiki visit and now it’s also my last. The homemade picked cabbage and homemade chili sauce are phenomenal with their noodles. I am only sad I can’t bring it home to the mainland for my husband (but I am brining the pickled cabbage!)

Located at the end of the stix Asian market, this restaurant offers Taiwanese style beef noodle soups. I tried the combo noodles of beef, tendon, and tripe. The broth was beefy and not too fatty, although it came with some orange lard product on the side that dissolved into little oil droplets on the surface when added. The beef was not chewy, but not super tender either. It had a good flavor. The tendon and tripe both had good texture, a bit chewy in a satisfying way and with unique flavor. I was glad I got to try them. There are 3-5 pieces of each type of meat and I wish there was a little bit more since the flavors and textures were great in the soup. The noodles were also a perfect hand-cut texture and right between bouncy and soft.

Fantastic Taiwanese noodle restaurant. The signature is the beef noodle soup, which I had, beef slow cooked for 48 hrs, but they do have lots of other stuff on the menu. See the link to their website for access to the menu.

I ordered the hot and sour soup, and the Shanghai steam dumplings. Both were delicious. Price is a little high for the portion size, but it is in a very touristy area.

Their A3 beef noodles are the bomb! Trust me on this – gotta get their homemade chili oil and black vinegar with it. The service is top-notch too. I’m definitely coming back for more
