We tried Hong Xing Lou for the first time today. It wasn’t busy when we came in. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were generous. We tried the Beef Brisket Noodle (in the broth) and the Beef Flat Noodle as well as crab rangoons for an app. The rangoons were crispy on the outside and warm and creamy on the inside (on the sweeter side too). The Beef Brisket Noodle was flavorful and had a good amount of Brisket throughout. The Beef Flat Noodle was also super flavorful and the beef was really tender. For a fast casual spot, overall I’d say it was pretty good and I would return!

Thank you to Hong Xing Lou for a wonderful experience. Not only is this an excellent Asian restaurant, it’s now a great late night eats spot as well! My brother and I had a craving for Chinese after midnight this past weekend and Hong Xing Lou delivered. They have a smaller midnight menu that provides ample options. The food was prepared fresh and everything was delicious. At other places open late night, I have noticed service tends to be sub par. Not here! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The establishment was clean and atmosphere was just right. This is an excellent spot to stop late, after a night of fun at Cedar Point, coming back on the Jet Express after a day at the islands, or many of the various other activities that Sandusky provides. I was very impressed and I will back to try them for their lunch and dinner menus as well. I fully recommend this spot for great sushi, and Asian cuisine!

I have visited this restaurant three times since it opened. The first two visits were absolutely wonderful, deserving of a solid 5 stars for both the service and the delicious food.
Unfortunately, our most recent visit was quite disappointing. I’m not sure what happened, but the professional-looking menu we were used to was replaced by a simple one-sheet paper menu, and it seemed like the number of dishes had been reduced. The food we received was not hot enough, and to top it off, our appetizer and first entree arrived at the same time. We couldn’t even start eating because we didn’t have any utensils. It was a while before the second dish came out, and everyone seemed so busy that we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to ask for chopsticks.
Based on the average of our experiences (5 stars for the first two visits and 2.5 stars for the last), a 4-star rating feels accurate. I hope they can return to the excellent standard they set at the beginning.

All of the staff was pleasant and service was fairly quick sadly I have to say my order of shrimp fried rice tasted old, greasy and dry. I counted six green peas and four small pieces of carrots I also ordered extra shrimp if I had not I’m afraid the dish would have came with a tiny amount of shrimp. The two vegetable egg rolls we’re very small mostly bread little veggies similar to spring rolls, but I’ve had spring rolls larger than these stuffed with veggies. I had to ask for my condiments soy sauce and duck sauce they had not included them in my bag although I asked for them when I placed my order. Although there was a large container of fortune cookies I didn’t get one. This place had ample seating music playing out of the portable speaker it could have been turned down some. The ladies bathroom was clean with no odors.

Stopped in to look at the full menu. Prices reasonable. Fresh made sushi I’ve never tried sushi before but seeing there’s made and plated it looked amazing! The restaurant was very clean workers were nice and helpful the manager took his time to show us the menu and answered our questions. General Tso’s was different not what I’m used to tasted a little like ketchup to me lomien was pretty good I would definitely buy it again.

I eat at this restaurant almost every week. While the food is delicious, I found a long black hair in my tomato beef rice last time! I got a buzz cut, so it couldn’t have been my hair. However, the food was really good, so I didn’t think much of it. Hopefully, the owner sees this review and reminds the chef to be more careful next time. Because the food was truly delicious, I still gave it five stars. I’ll definitely order again next week, and hopefully I won’t find any hair next time.

The food is excellent and comes out fast! The flavors are absolutely delicious! I tried my first Szechuan dish: beef tripe with peanuts and a delicious sauce! The sesame chicken was quite yummy, as well. Their green tea is so fragrant. It was overall an enjoyable experience and we will absolutely be back!
