I have only had the lo mien from here but they used gravy instead of whatever sauce they’re suppose to use… And it’s very wet… Lo mien is not suppose to be so saturated. It’s disgusting. Gravy on noodles is not good. Wasted $10 and I’m feeding it go the stray dogs..

I go twice a week for YEARS and the food is consistent amazing taste I order the lobster egg foo young with lobster fried rice it is to dye for. Also with 4 spring rolls. It’s a mom and pops spot but I tell ya the lady that works there keeps me laughing it remind my of the Sean from In Living Color where Tommy Davisson running the kitchen window with them thick glass on lol

I had the worst experience here Saturday, The woman that takes the orders is so rude. Very unprofessional and unpleasant. Regardless of the treatment I said you know what I’m still going to get my food due to the fact of me ordering here before ( 10 years ago). There food was good. Never again not only was my service bad but the food was worse the rice was hard and the chicken was not cooked all the way the crust was dough so under cooked. In I really hope she’s see this post. I’m a nurse in you can tell she was forgetting to give people the cards back after there order in she could not even remember who we were even when we was right there. You can see signs of her displaying a mental health issue(bipolar). I’m not saying this not to be funny yet bring awareness everyone you come in contact with is battling something only God is aware of. Be kind to everyone who you come into contact with because you don’t know what they going through and I hope she receives some type of help/medication so people don’t have to experience poor customer service.

Love this spot, been enjoying the food for over 25 years. Would’ve given way more stars, but because i wasn’t able to order, due to the owners refuse to higher younger more capable employees to help out as far as tsken orders either it be walk or call in. (Literally the wife is the only person that takes orders). And the wait time was ridiculous to just place an order. Hopefully they realize they need help to continually run this little hidden gem in the inner city of Detroit.

The food at Hong Moy Is great. However for as long as they’ve been there. They should upgrade. It’s a little hole in the wall place The food is great. I just wish they would upgrade. And try to fix it up also you can’t beat the prices They would have gotten a 5 star rating, if they would upgrade the establishment.

The reviews for this place sound amazing but as of now there’s seems to be a lack of staff. I called 4 times within an hour and each time it was busy, so I went to the restaurant and waited for about 10 minutes before I decided it wasn’t worth the wait. I would really like to try the food but unfortunately not always willing to wait that long for it. Hope they get more staff though.
