First time I have ever ordered here and all I got was boneless spare ribs with no sauce. First I am going to say this place needs to remodel the wallpaper is nasty and the floor is nasty they had a curtain up so no one can see their nasty kitchen. Second of all the food was pure rubber and had been cooked multiple times they do not cook fresh foods. The food was so bad I threw it in the garbage. I could not even chew the ribs unless I had several hours and wanted to eat leather. They need to clean that place up and learn how to cook. I dont know how the health department have not shut them down how nasty that place is. They need to stop being cheap fix up the place and learn to cook fresh and good tasting food the their reviews would go up. But the owners care about their food as if they cared about the building. We know you are money hungry but geeze clean up the place spend some money in that place and cook better food and you will make your money plus some. Its sad when the worst chinese restaurant panda express is cleaner and taste better then this place.

Meh, the general tsos was funky tonight, not sure if just a bad batch or what but tasted off. The beef with broccoli was good and the wonton soup were both good though. But for 42 bucks I expect the whole order to be edible. Not sure I’ll give this place another shot.

Gave this place a try on a whim, and glad I did. Excellent beef & broccoli with pork fried rice. The plantains are delish and you get a lot for $4.50. Everything I got was amazing I will definitely be back.

Well this is not the first time that I’ve ordered from them and typically I get the same thing I always order any type of rice whether I get the vegetable or the special fried rice or just the pork fried rice and I always ask for extra extra extra Bean sprouts, extra eggs, extra scallions. You Can Count probably six bean sprouts in a large order of rice but yet they’re quick to charge you the extra money, for everything extra you get trust me don’t charge you today I ordered the vegetable fried rice add shrimps with the other extras that I just mentioned above the rice is very plain doesn’t taste like anything so if you guys are busy on a Friday night you need to do better. I just told my husband we’re going to have to start driving again all the way to Fletcher to Ho Ho Choi where they can make some really good Chinese food. I’ll take the drive this food is not cheap out of my hot order the only thing that was good was my egg rolls the spring rolls and the shrimp with lobster sauce and even with the shrimp with lobster sauce it’s kind of thin should be thicker it should have a lot more shrimps and a lot more white egg very very disappointed

This is one of the few places in the area with an actual Chinese dish. Go here and get the Chow mei fun, my favorite is the Singapore version. *Warning the Singapore version is the spicey version with shrimp, chicken, and pork* Chow mei fun is a delicious street food from Singapore actually known there as Xing Zhou Mi Fen. Note: Calling it Singapore noodles won’t gain you any friends especially if they originate from the region. Hong Kong Restaurant’s version is delicious. They of course have your standard Americanized Chinese food which is also very good. However give real Chinese food a shot. You won’t regret it and it’s cheaper then going to Singapore. One last thing, prices on the regular menu may seem average. However, you get at least three decent servings of food per order making Hong Kong Restaurant, what I consider, a great bargain.

The Chinese food is very good at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant 7026 West Waters Avenue Tampa Florida in Town & Country next to the Publix supermarket. It’s my second favorite place to come for Chinese food the prices are reasonable this service is fast and the people are very friendly. My favorite Chinese place is China Garden in the Carrollwood Village shopping center off of Dale Mabry Boulevard. But whenever I’m down at this Publix and I feel like Chinese I come to the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in Town and Country.

This place is really bad. I ordered boneless spare ribs and it taste like beef jerky. The meat is so hard and they said it is pork fried rice and it is only yellow rice.No meat and no veggie. This place is awful. Don’t waste your money here.

I’ve been going here since 1998. It truly is one of the best Chinese fast food in the entire Tampa area. It doesn’t bother me if and when the staff doesn’t smile, I’m not paying for smiles. I’m trading currency for quality food and that’s what I’ve always gotten here. Order accuracy is spot on 9/10 times. Food is usually done between 5-15 minutes unless it’s Christmas or something. The food itself is your typical Chinese fast food, taste is very satisfying and I’ve yet to find a place that does chicken wings like this place does. Reviews saying the food is too greasy is an opinion. Give it a try and make your own judgement! I love it!
