Ordered take out and the spring rolls and the crab rangoon were good, T’s sesame chicken was okay except they obviously use the same oil for seafood. The bigger issue was that I ordered chicken lo mien and what I got was just chicken and cabbage, no noodles at all, it was very flat and tasteless. The ice tea was overly sweet for my taste. This was my first try at Chinese food in Dublin and I will be trying somewhere else net time.

Something odd has happened to the food preparation lately. It’s not bad, it’s just not Chinese style. Sesame oil, five spice, ginger, Asian pepper are all absent. Sadly going to change take out restaurants after many years of Hong Kong happiness.

The man at the counter could not locate my order I placed 4 hours ahead of time to be ready by the time I got there. Despite having an order number & receipt. Then gave me an estimated standard 15-20 min wait for order to be made. Which also was false as it took much longer. Why allow in advance ordering to not even check future orders? And to top it off he was rude about it all? Like I !? Was the inconvenience in this transaction.. no oh I’m so sorry for the mistake, mishap, miscommunication who know what happened- No let me get you a compensation fountain drink or extra egg roll for your wait no nothing except a take it or leave it attitude… and I’m pretty sure they’re gonna do something to my food for being upset after a long day at work myself & now faced with an almost 30min wait time & feeling like I’m bothering them at their job. I get things happen, but I also work in the customer service industry and I know when things go awry that there are ways to turn it into a positive experience still and this guy…. Should not be allowed to interact with customers. He claims he IS the manager or a form of management? But I can’t believe that.. he was too rude and blasé about it all. I don’t recommend this location and I definitely will not want to return either after this experience.

This place is getting worse, so I had to update my review. The A/C didn’t work the last time I went in, the prices aren’t horrid but not great either, for food that isn’t often all that good. Plus, I’m a bit worried if I get anything not often ordered on the menu that I’d get sick. For the money, I’d rather go to China Express or China Garden. I’d avoid Hong Kong, and it used to be really good. I hate to see it go so downhill. At times, it can still be pretty decent, and I haven’t gotten sick *yet* there, but I’m not planning to go back.
