As someone from Hong Kong who has lived there for over 20 years—and having also spent nearly 15 years in Singapore—I recently relocated to Rhode Island and found myself suddenly craving Chinese food. After a quick search online, I came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try.
I visited in mid-February, just after Valentine’s Day and shortly before Chinese New Year, which added a festive atmosphere to the experience. I ordered the Four Happiness dish with rice, accompanied by a pot of hot Chinese tea. The waiter was exceptionally attentive, checking in regularly without being intrusive.
To my surprise, he also brought over a complimentary dish of mixed roast pork and soya sauce chicken, along with a heart-shaped crystal placed on top of the usual fortune cookie. It was a thoughtful and charming gesture that made the experience even more memorable.
The portion size was generous—I couldn’t finish the dish and requested a takeaway. The waiter kindly packed everything neatly into a takeout box and secured it in a plastic bag for me.
While I have certainly had better Chinese food in the Far East, this is by far the best Asian cuisine I have had since moving to the United States. The prices are also very reasonable. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a satisfying meal.

I have been going there for yrs. Loved the hot and sour soup and dumplings plus other meals. Unfortunately under new owners they have changed the soup and the dumplings plus other meals. They have not been consistent. I will have to find another place. Sad and Unfortunately.
They should not have messed with a good thing.

Ordered through Uber and they wont give you your order unless you show it to them on your phone. My phone was at home so I went back to go get it. When they released my order I checked it and they intentionally ignored a special request for an order because there isn’t a button to sub fried chicken for grilled or steamed chicken (General Tso combo). They didnt even give me a heads up on it, so i would have found at at home if i didnt check my order at the store. So I had to wait for them remake it for a chicken and broccoli with general tso sauce instead. We were offered water though. For close to $70, the food isn’t even that great and entrees are not served with white rice. I wont come back.

Let me start by saying my family has been coming here for years (back to my great grandparents generation) and the food has always been consistently good. For the last couple years however the food quality has gone down hill to the point I will never go back.
We ordered sweet and sour chicken combos today for takeout and the chicken in both orders was so overcooked it was barely edible, and that’s not an exaggeration. The coating on most of the pieces was dehydrated and greasy and the chicken inside was so tough and dry, like jerky. It’s clear they had been re-fried at least once or twice before serving it. Absolutely gross!
This isn’t the first time we have had quality issues. It has happened multiple times over the past year or so but never to the degree of the food we received today. One other time we were dining in and the French fries they brought out were dark and completely dehydrated. We told the waitress and she said she has told the cook/owner they can’t keep re-frying them 3 or 4 times. Apparently they must precook their food and throw it back in to ‘reheat’ it. Disgusting, especially when people are paying good money to eat FRESH food. Never again!!!

One of the few remaining old school Chinese restaurants.. Very nostalgic for me.. The beef teriyaki and egg rolls are delicious and the lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken are amazing, but I always get the veal cutlet with brown gravy and French fries.. Reminds me of Young China in East Providence which was my favorite restaurant growing up.. Please don’t ever change anything about Hong Kong, it’s amazing

This is the last time I will ever order from them ever again now and I’m very disappointed about the food I ordered considering I wanted shrimp combination plate to go and she gave 2 number 12’s and they tried to charge me more for this orders and they were tasteless and I was very disappointed about this as well now. I feel like the waitress doesn’t understand English and she can’t hear very well because she should have asked me to repeat my to go order too, and I don’t think 2 meals are worth $30.00 now.

The food has always been amazing. They have a very unique brown colored sweet and sour sauce that is my all time favorite. About 5 or so years ago they redid and expanded the inside of the restaurant and now the decor matches the food.

Gross, bland, and were horrible as leftovers the next day. Grandma made the wrong choice ordering from here.

The food was not good at all . Worse chow mein I have tasted and poorly presented. The chicken teriyaki had hardly any teriyaki. The fries were cold . It came with the batter shrimp that had no shrimp that you had to find to eat . Way too much batter. Now I remember why I stopped ordering from there.
