Honestly, the service is the only reason they deserve one star…. The food was terrible. Like TERRIBLE. $74 later… not edible. Food was hot but I don’t know what happened. It was like everything was steamed. Cashew chicken, sechuan beef, and mushroom chicken. With fried rice and two orders of egg rolls.

We were pleasantly surprised! This place has always been great but we had not been there since before the coronapocolypse. We debated between this place and the larger buffet around the corner. We made the right decision with the Hong Kong Palace. The buffet is a bit smaller but the quality of the food is leagues ahead of the “big buffet cattle call” place down the street where it always feels like the staff is throwing shade at the customers. The staff was friendly almost to a fault, the food was fresh and the choices were various and delicious. The kimchi was deceptively plain looking but knocked my socks off and cleared out my sinuses. The hot and sour soup was exactly the way I like it, we ordered 2 containers to go because I knew I would be craving some more later in the day. The price was good, about what you’d expect. The real take away here is getting to satisfy my Chinese food buffet craving with a thoughtful selection of food that tasted like the chef cared about the preparation. Quite pleased and we will be making our back here again very soon. Don’t let the exterior fool you. Yes, they are open and definitely worth your time.

It’s time for a new owner ,these poor people are not able to run this place.
Food is sitting till dry on the buffet, quality of the take out is bad ,service seems to only be one lady in jeans and a ball cap all the time and she is overwhelmed by 2 separate customers . It’s not going to make it much longer and the prices are too high for their food.

I used to come here growing up and remember when there was an older lady making the egg rolls in front of everyone. Well, fast forward 20+ years, new ownership and new decade…the food taste like it is not fresh. The food is not hot and is rubbery.

When I went food was very little available. Food was not decent. It was old. Left overs. Taste was D classy. They could’ve done a better job, but I recommend you visit only once. I went some time a little after lunch time, but before dinner time. Just to give it a try. To see if it’s for you, but I will not for a second time.

I’ve been coming over 2 decades pretty much since I was a kid. This buffet beats others because the food has amazing flavor. Best Rangoon anywhere I’ve had ever. Travel far to get back here when I can probably at least once a month. That’s because I’m all the way in San Antonio! Love this place great tasting food always.

Always a pleasant dining experience. So friendly and the food is delicious. They cook smaller batches so that that keep things fresh and I for one do not mind waiting a few minutes for hot and fresh selections. The only reason it gets 4 and not 5 stars is that it’s the same decor from previous owners and they have both cushions kept together with matching colored tape. They also have a smaller selection of food compared to its rival but as I said, the quality more than makes up for it.

I ordered our lunch to go which was fixed for transport well. I ordered the hunan beef from menu which was one of the best I have ordered. I ordered egg rolls from menu which were amazing the best I have ever had. Their egg drop soup superb and noodles. I highly recommend
their restaurant.
