I have been meaning to try this place since I moved to the area about 2 years ago. Now I wish I had made the time sooner. I ordered 4 items for take-out; egg rolls, cream cheese puffs, veggie lomein and walnut chicken. If you are a fan of the sweet cream cheese puffs like I am you will love these, they were delicious. The veggie lomein was very good, a little more seasoning would have been nice but the noodles and veggies were perfectly cooked. The walnut chicken, all I can say is perfection! My only complaint is the egg rolls, they were a little bland and dry. I am very picky about my egg rolls so others may like them just fine. Tonight they were very busy with both take-out and delivery orders but my wait was only about 20 minutes. I’m super excited to try more menu items and was thrilled to discover I live with in their delivery zone!!!

The chicken is like mush. It tastes the same as the rice, almost a chemical taste. They have the worst selection I’ve seen. They call themselves a buffet but they are not. Only 11 am to 2:30 pm weekdays only. How convenient that most people work during that time. 5 dollars for a pop. I would not recommend coming here. Not to mention one of the employees came into dining area and sat there watching us. Very unwelcoming.

I have been a pretty loyal customer over the last decade and have been patient and forgiving with errors in my order because the staff had always been friendly and sincere. But not tonight… I placed an order for delivery and it arrived in 45 minutes as promised. When I unpacked the food I was pleased that they hadn’t forgotten the gravy for the egg foo young (they have in the past, so I reminded them this time when I placed my order). The two orders of egg rolls, however, were missing. I called right away and asked them to bring the rest of my order and was told they would be here in about an hour. Seriously? Well, I called back 1 hour and 20 minutes later because they still weren’t here. The kid who answered the phone was rude and said they were really busy with a lot of orders and the rest of my order should be there in another 15 minutes. When I pointed out that their level of customer service was not acceptable, he replied, “We are aware of that.” He could have fixed it. I would have accepted a discount on my order, a coupon for some freebies, even just a sincere apology. Instead, he just basically agreed that their customer service sucks.
On the bright side, our egg rolls finally showed up—and you know what they say about Chinese food—in a couple of hours you’re hungry again. So, that sort of worked out ok.

This is one of the best asian restaurants I’ve ever gotten take out from. the best egg rolls, you can tell they are fresh and not greasy, and the seasoning was amazing. I have quit getting take out from Asian restaurants because it’s always been so greasy and seems to be prepackaged and frozen. but you can tell everything from here is FRESH hand made no heavy breading. you can’t go wrong with anything you order. I’ve been very plesently surprised at the quality of the food here. you can really tell that they take pride in their food and what they do.

My sister and I love this place! Pork and garlic sauce, fried wontons, potstickers, chicken wings, egg rolls and more. It hasn’t been perfect everytime, but never as bad as some earlier reviews. They’ve had it hard just like everybody else with staffing, but they’re still here, thank goodness. I will continue to order from Hong Kong Delight.

After all the hoops I jumped through to create this review. It wasn’t as bad as the food we were served on 12/31/2013. I would not ever recommend this place. Being new to the area and hoping to find a decent Asian Flavored Restaurant. I was extremely disappointed. The kitchen and walk way to the public restrooms were a complete disaster and extremely filthy. Had I made that walk before attempting to eat. we would of just left. The buffet is not a buffet, they have a limited prefab tasteless, salted mess to pick from.

Used to eat here all the time. I call tonight to order order 50$ worth of food they tell me 40-50 minutes. I called an hour after then they said another 20 minutes so I waited 35 min called again the guy was rude says they are shipping it out now. Here i sit almost 2 hours in with no food. I would never order from them again. Stay clear. They wouldnt offer to take care of our meal or anything. Make the drive for better food

Fried rice had basically nothing in it. General Tso had a bit of heat but no flavor and was chewy. I literally had to spit the egg roll out. The overall taste was very flat. Will not return or recommend. You’d be better off going anywhere else, including the McDonald’s across the parking lot.

Horrible!!!!! We ordered Sweet n Sour Chicken with Chicken Fried Rice and a side of Cream Cheese Won-tons and an upgraded order of White Rice to Fried Rice. Sweet and Sour chicken was powerfully over cooked balls of batter and hardly no chicken, Fried Rice was simply rice with Soy sauce drenched over it. Chicken fried rice was the same with large knuckles of cartilage chicken thrown in, and it was all from served or dished to us from the old buffet items even after I custom ordered the entire dish. I watched them pack the fried rice from the buffet dishes even though I ordered it fresh. Won-tons had no cream cheese in them and were also horrible. I then attempted to bring back the food and kindly get a refund but the employee behind the counter took our food to look at it and said firmly “NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS YOUR NOT GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK” we kindly asked then what can we do? He then said ” YOU CAN LEAVE AND DON’T COME BACK” —- WOW!!!!

I would give the food here a
-1 if it gave me that option. I ordered chicken lo mein, fried rice & egg rolls. The chicke lo mein had no flavor-NONE not any color even. It was white angle hair posta & it was dry & over cooked. The fried rice seemed burned & very dry. The egg roles had some weird flavor I can’t put my finger on & rubbery & were very cold. You could put all the soy sauce on and it would make no difference still. Very very poor food. The lady behind the cash register that took my order seemed more interested in doing the cleaning than taking my order.
She never washed her hands after mopping then taking my order then handling my food. I think if it would have been cooked right I may have liked it. I will never eat there again & I will not refer anyone to this facility. Very unhappy
