Dropped as we were hunting for a new Chinese restaurant. We found the food to be good and even our picky kid ate it. The only issue was that we ordered the sweet and sour pork that didn’t have bones. We got the one with the bones instead. Still tasty and was okay with it. We were deciding boneless or bone-in anyway.

The service was okay. And we were checked in on a couple of times.

Overall a 4 star place.

I’ve often visited Vietnamese restaurants around this area but never tried this one before. The main reason was that, from the outside, the windows and the area around the entrance looked cluttered and unclean. However, today, I found out my usual Vietnamese spot was closed, and since I was already hungry, I decided to give this place a shot. To my surprise, the interior was modern, clean, and well-designed, which was quite unexpected.

Once I got the menu, I was amazed by the sheer variety of dishes. It featured not only fusion options similar to what you’d find at a leisure café but also traditional Hong Kong-style dishes. There were so many choices that I spent a long time deciding what to order.

I ended up trying the stir-fried beef with ginger, onion, and green onion, which was excellent, as were the sweet and sour spare ribs. However, the seafood soup was far too watery, and the baked meat sauce spaghetti was disappointing. It seems like they’re trying to offer too many options, which might be diluting their quality. I think they should focus on their specialties and narrow down the menu a bit to refine what they’re best at.

Still, the sweet and sour pork spare ribs and the stir-fried beef were so delicious that I’ll definitely come back again.

The service is really great and they are on the Fantuan mobile ordering platform. Authentic HK offerings with decent parking space/plaza lot. They are well known for their Cantonese herbal chicken soup bucket. So good!

Service was very attentive as soon as we walked in. They have a great happy hour menu from 2:30pm-6pm. We got a bowl of brisket noodle soup for $4.25. You can’t beat that price. The meat was super tender and tasty. The noodle was really nice. The broth was really clear. Also got the brocolli and oyster sauce for $4.65. It came out quite nice and crunchy and the amount was quite substantial eventhough it was the happy hour amount. Since I was really hungry, I also order the salt and pepper chicken wings for $4.25. It was not oily and the spices were just perfect. It tasted so good. Next time I will need to order two plates of the wings…The chef here really knows his stuff. Plus, the place is really clean. Would definitely go back next time I am in the area.

Good and authentic Hong Kong style. But maybe not among the top in the Bay Area. We ordered beef chowfun and bake pork chop rice, which are the staple of HK style cafe. The noodles and rice are very good and full of flavor. But the meat was a bit dry for both.
BTW, prices are very reasonable and much cheaper than what you can find in SF and South Bay Area.

Tried this place out since it said Hong Kong cafe. Its nothing like a HK cafe. Its more like another Chinese restaurant. Prices on the menu are extremely expensive. Only somewhat reasonable is the rice plates. Food was ok but watch out on the drinks. Its price is out the roof, would not recommend paying $6 for a milk tea. Also watch out, the server / owner(as she has the attitude for it) secretly up your size so they can make that extra $1. Supposedly, its $5 + $1 up size. I don’t recall I asked for that, but since I drank it, it a seal deal. At first, I thought how nice, such a large drink they gave me, then when the bill came, I found out way. Feel cheated, but my fault for not raising the issue when it seems out of place. I wouldn’t recommend to go there as there are many better real HK cafe nearby. My bill came out to be $24 total including tips. They also accept credit cards with a min $20. Obviously, mine base was past $20, which by the way, is expensive for what I got. Also they bring over a little machine to do the transaction and force you on the spot to pay for tips. Its also has the pre-selection which 15% is min. No, they do not worth 15% tips in any manner. Sorry, this shop needs to do better if they should use the name Hong Kong cafe as their shop name.

Always loved taking food to go from here but this time stopped in for a quick lunch. Place was quite busy during a weekday but parking was not too bad in the lot in front.

Got the omelette fried rice, garlic romaine, and the salted egg fried mushroom. The latter was especially good and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. And the place was bright and clean.

Will come back again when I’m in the area.
