We visit Hong Kong Buffet every once in a while when we’re not in the mood for other spots in town—it’s a reliable fallback option. The buffet offers a solid variety of dishes, which is one of its stronger points. The food tastes decent overall; nothing mind-blowing, but it gets the job done.
That said, it’s not the best value for the money. We spent nearly $100 for my wife, myself, and our two kids, which feels pretty pricey for this area. Service can be hit or miss too—sometimes the staff is on top of clearing plates and handling refills quickly, but other times it’s slower and less attentive.
Overall, it’s okay if you’re craving a buffet, but we might explore cheaper alternatives next time.

I love Chinese food but this place is getting rediculously expensive. I went by myself for lunch at is was $20 plus tax. And they don’t even clean the shrimp properly. Watch out for the poop still left in them. When I asked about it, they claimed it was my responsibility to clean the poop out before I ate it. Um, ok.

It’s uncomfortably hot inside, the food is poor quality and the service sucks. We came in recently because other family wanted to eat here and it was Immediately underwhelming. Absolutely zero effort put into anything.
It took us asking 3 times just to get the correct amount of waters for the table. Almost everything was beyond overcooked and what wasn’t had no flavor. It was also unbelievably hot and humid the entire time we were in the restaraunt making it uncomfortable to eat. The only saving grace of the meal was the fact that I didn’t have to pay for it

Chrysler Electronic Lean Burn
They have improved their food from when I ate here last 10 years ago. Still not as good as Family Buffet in Junction City. But it’s a lot better than what it used to be. Waitress was very attentive. And food selection was pretty good. It looks like they added soft serve ice cream so it was a little different than when I went here 10 years ago.

Great Chinese buffet! They had lots of options and all the food was piping hot. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was after the lunch rush and some items were very low. They had all kinds of dessert options including ice cream, pudding, jello, and many others. The only complaint I have it the the booth we sat in was lacking a lot of padding in the seats, we were basically sitting on wood structure and springs inside the seat.

The food was good; however, I was disappointed with the service. The server slammed the silverware and napkins on my table, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. I almost left because of the experience but stayed since I was already hungry. I hope future guests are treated more courteously.

as a server myself, i hate to leave a review like this. i found a piece of plastic in my food and alerted my server. when we went to settle up, we politely asked for a discount because of the plastic. the worker took $2 off of our $38 bill and told us that if we didn’t like the food, we shouldn’t eat there. when i expressed that it didn’t feel like enough of a discount and didn’t feel comfortable paying almost full price for food with plastic in it, he called the police on us. we didn’t cause a scene or become argumentative, but at this point i wish we did. very disappointing.

My wife wanted Chinese food, but not in our town about an hour away from this gem. I did a quick google Maps search in Salina and came up with this place after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures! Bring cash with you for a tip for the grill master who will grill the ingredients you pick for yourself. Also, I am fairly certain they make their Crab Rangoon from scratch!

Got sick from the crawfish. I think they left it out too long. I been so sick after leaving here from it or something but complete food poisoning symptoms. I really think it’s the crawfish, but the chicken I ate was older you could tell as it was extremely chewy and not fresh tasting like it normally is.

This place is pretty much an exact copy of all other all-you-can-eat Chinese food buffet places in any medium to large Kansas towns. Food is cooked with a lot of oil and taste the same here as it does in the Wichita buffet place.
Service was good. Waitress refilled water and was attentive enough to know when I was done and brought my check.
Food choices were typical and again cooked exactly like all other buffet places. The surprise was the coral chicken. This was not anything I had seen before and it looked horrible with a thick white creamy sauce. The chicken it it was tough and over cooked but the sauce was surprisingly very good. It was just too sweet for seconds. Worth a try though.
