This was my first time visiting Hong Kong Bistro in Chinatown, and my first impression was “wow” … the place was packed and very lively. It was definitely crowded, but that just added to the energy of the restaurant.
The staff were very nice and accommodating, even with how busy it was. The menu offers a lot of options to choose from, especially for dim sum. Ordering is done by marking how many portions you want on the paper they provide, which is simple and easy once you get the hang of it.
There are paid street parking options as well as a nearby parking lot, which is helpful in a busy area like Chinatown. Overall, it was a great first experience and a spot I’d come back to.

The staff at Hong Kong Bistro are really friendly, cheerful, and easy to talk to. Most of the food is delicious, though the fried taro today was a bit greasy. One big plus: the staff were so kind and even replaced it for me—definitely appreciated!

Not the most most authentic flavours of Hong Kong but we are in Seattle afterall. The menu options are extensive and we are spoilt for choices on what to order! Food portion is huge and good for sharing. The Hong Kong milk tea is quiet legit though 🙂 Our server is also friendly and food came fast too. Overall, we had a satisfying meal!

I really enjoy the dim sum at Hongkon Bistro, especially their baked items. The buns are always beautifully made, look great, and taste fresh—overall, the flavor is consistently good.

That said, I’ve noticed the pineapple bun with butter (bolo bao) has gotten noticeably smaller compared to before. It feels lighter and less substantial, almost like there’s less dough than it used to have, while the price has gone up. The quality of the bread has unfortunately dropped quite a bit.

I truly hope the restaurant can keep the original quality and portion size—please don’t compromise the product just to cut costs, because this is a place with a great name and I’d hate to see it decline.

Visited it yesterday on Monday and it didn’t disappoin. Everything tasted fresh and expertly made. the dishes were delicious with great textures and flavors. A true Hong Kong dim sum style !. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming. Easily one of the best dim sum spots around — we’ll definitely be back.

We stumbled upon HK Bistro on a whim. It was PACKED. There were families celebrating birthdays and it was so lively and fun, we were not bothered by the noise, but it is not quiet dining if that is your preference. The food was amazing and FAST! The only downside as other have mentioned is that the service is slow, but that shouldn’t be a drawback for you, it is worth it! There are so many food options on the menu, there were only two of us but everything sounded so appetizing we ordered as if we were a family of 5. Not disappointed at all. Would and will come again.

The cart-style rice noodles here taste incredibly authentic — just like what you’d get in Hong Kong! The desserts are delicious as well, and the overall environment is clean and pleasant. Definitely a great spot to satisfy your HK cravings.

Another great go-to for dim sum! Although it can get busy during peak times, such as a weekend lunch. But once you stick it out and wait (just don’t go while you’re super hungry!), you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how good their dishes are! Our usuals, shu mais, shrimp balls, sticky rice, tripe, etc are always a hit. They’ve got so much shrimp in them! I love their green beans…so much flavor! We’ll occasionally get a lukewarm dish and maybe a slower than usual service, but it’s because they’re so busy! I love sitting in the booths; it feels away from the hustle and bustle and is a little more quiet and intimate.

Good experience! It was busy night but there’s plenty of tables and no wait time. Service was quick and courteous: food arrived promptly. I thought the Duck vermicelli was too salty, noodles undercooked and hard, and duck meat wasn’t that great; but the shrimp with chives dumpling was fantastic (and huge too). Would return here without hesitation.

I come here all the time especially for the dim sum. Their menu also features cook to order dim sum (my favorites are the sui mai, shrimp & chives dumpling, fried shrimp dumplings and black peppered beef).

This place is also always busy and the wait could be a little bit long, but they’re usually accommodating and fast.
