So many things to love about this place.. most of all the steamed red snapper ($20) is phenomenal. We’ve also tried the fried red snapper (also $20) and fried rice ($4 side portion – super generous and enough for 2) and they are tasty as well. Beers are $2, cocktails ~$3.
This is as authentic as it gets in the Caribbean. The restaurant has Cantonese proprietors. The fish was steamed just right, HK style with ginger and scallion. The decor is a time capsule from the 80’s; kitsch and charming, complete with 2 lucky cats and strong aircon.
There’s also a small Chinese minimart next door that’s part of the same establishment.

The food was definitely different than the Chinese food we get in california. I am open to different tastes but this was just not great. The veggies in my dish had brown edges like they had been cut long in advance and weren’t incredibly fresh. Both my husband and I had upset stomachs after eating here.

Inexpensive place to eat Chinese Food while in Philipsburg. The restaurant has been serving since 1980s. Food is good and inexpensive. Barely any vegan or veg options. But meat and sea food eaters will love this place. Opens for lunch and dinner. Their bar is a hangout spot for many who want to unwind after work. Staff is friendly and courteous. The restaurant has a supermarket attached.
